The “Cornish Pound” should be a kept as a “Cornish
Prisoner”
It’s a serious topic and we need your help with something that’s close to our Heart…
Wosson is proud to be a Cornish business and supporting fellow local businesses is at the heart of what we do.
Our ethos is simple: whenever we can, we work with local suppliers and businesses that share our values and commitment to Cornwall.
Why is it so important to us?
Keeping money within Cornwall helps create employment, opportunities, and long-term prosperity for local people - and it’s not just today, but for generations to come.
Every pound spent with a Cornish business has the potential to circulate and re-circulate back into our communities, supporting local jobs, families, and future growth.
So, before spending money with companies based outside the county - or even worse, outside the country…think twice, because once that money leaves Cornwall, chances are that’s the last time we’ll ever see it.
As we move through increasingly uncertain economic times, supporting each other has never been more important. We speak to customers on a daily basis that really are struggling and we would like to be part of the solution to help them out. It may sound like a cliché, but we genuinely are “all in it together,” and we all want to see Cornish businesses continue to grow and thrive as this money filters directly into the pockets of local people.
So…
If you’re a Cornish business with a product or service you believe could benefit Wosson, we’d love to hear from you. We’re always open to new partnerships, collaborations, and opportunities. Please please please reach out to us, we are all ears!
If you don’t have a business you can still help by liking and sharing this post to spread the message across Cornwall.
We have some incredible businesses and talented people here - they just need more support and opportunities to truly make a difference.
Thanks for reading and don’t forget to keep that Cornish Pound a Cornish Prisoner!
