Christmas events update: - I’ve made the sad decision to withdraw from the upcoming Christmas fairs I had booked, both Makers Cornwall and Swanpool Events.

However, I am thinking that I can still sell some of these Mini Lampshade Garlands online via my website - if you would like to be kept up to date when they are on my website, just comment on here and I’ll keep you informed. They are posted out in colourful boxes and make lovely festive gifts.

I will definitely be attending the Makers Cornwall Christmas fair and the Creative Christmas fair as a visitor though, and look forward to buying some gorgeous gifts from talented makers!

I realised I forgot to thank people for all of the lovely messages and kind thoughts and comments about our boy Rufus. They really meant a lot, thank you. Rufus’s ashes came back to us yesterday and we will be taking him on his favourite walks again.

Yesterday Sally Sally Atkins and I talked to Julie Skentelbery on BBC Cornwall about the upcoming Makers Cornwall Christmas Fair. Sally invited me along to join her as it is the 10 Year Anniversary since the first ever ‘Etsy’ Makers Cornwall event which took place at the Guildhall in St Ives. What a wonderful supportive community the Makers Cornwall has become. I almost can’t believe that Dolly Parton has left the stage, she was an amazing role model and I wish more billionaires had an ounce of her philanthropic compassion. What a poorer world we are in this morning.

Dolly is on my personal playlist of life music. Coat of Many Colours, especially, always makes me weep, every time I listen to it. The words just cut right through to my soul and have so much depth of meaning.

A few years ago my mum cut out all of these squares of my fabric designs, and one day a quilt will be made from them. (At the moment they are all in a box somewhere in the depths of the attic!) I feel like I need to find the squares and start that quilt.

I’ve been busy sorting out stock, ready for Saturday’s event at . I will be bringing the last of my lampshades and a selection of fabric panels which are printed with my illustrations. If you fancy picking up a bargain lampshade or having a rummage through my fabrics, the Artist and Makers Market is on from 12pm until 8pm. I’m really looking forward to this event, curated by Sarah , there are some fantastic makers and artists involved. I’m already planning what I’m going to eat from one of the delicious kitchens!
