How a website contact form lost a company £500,000...

Someone submitted a prompt injection into a public web form connected to an internal AI agent.

The prompt told the agent to ignore its rules, access the company's accounting software (Xero/Sage), and swap out supplier bank details.

At month-end, the company unwittingly transferred £500,000 straight to a fraudster, and didn't realize until two months later!

If you give AI agents unfiltered access to financial ledgers, you're handing hackers the keys to the vault.
