WordPress 7 dropped yesterday, and it's the biggest update in years.

If you've got a WordPress website (which most of you do), here's the honest version of what's changed and whether you should update yet.

The short answer: probably not this week.

The admin dashboard looks different, AI tools are now built in, and a headline feature got pulled two weeks before launch because it wasn't ready. That last bit is actually a good sign — they cared enough not to ship something broken.

More importantly, if you're on WooCommerce or your site runs Divi or Elementor, there are a few things to check first.

Behind the scenes of a recent project…

I’ve been working with Hawthorn Lodges Country Park to improve their website, SEO and online advertising.

The project brought together:

✔ Website optimisation
✔ SEO improvements
✔ Google Ads management
✔ Facebook & Instagram advertising
✔ Analytics and conversion tracking

The results so far:

• Cost per enquiry reduced by 33%
• Advertising spend reduced by 22%
• Enquiries increased by 16%

It’s a great example of how the right website, proper tracking and well-managed advertising can work together to generate more enquiries.
