What could possibly go wrong?
A 50-year-old graphic designer voluntarily signing up for electric shocks, an overnight sleepout in a creepy Victorian sea lion enclosure, and then throwing herself out of an aeroplane...
After being a little quieter than usual on here recently, I thought I'd explain what I've been up to.
This year, to celebrate turning 50, I've set myself a challenge: 50 & Fearless.
Three challenges. Three charities. Three things that are definitely outside my comfort zone.
🏃♀️ A muddy obstacle course complete with ice-cold water, heights and electric shocks.
🌙 A night sleeping outdoors beneath the stars at a fascinating (and slightly spooky) Victorian sea lion enclosure on the Isle of Man.
🪂 And a charity skydive... because apparently turning 50 has affected my judgement.
I've spent years helping charities and community organisations through my design work, so it felt right to use this milestone birthday to support three incredible causes that mean a lot to me.
Will I enjoy all of it? Probably not.
Will I question my life choices at several points? Almost certainly.
Will I do it anyway? Absolutely.
