We released the first Beta version of XPatch4.11 with VST plugin about two weeks ago, apart from a few initial bugs the main user request was to be able to save the XPatch4.11 setup with the project.

It took a few days for two of us to add save and recall, Chris working on the plugin and Colin working on XPatch4.11 . After a few false starts we have arrived at what we think is a good solution.

This week we are releasing a beta version of the first of two plugins for use with XPatch. The CBKeyboard plugin is based on experience using the Stream Deck interface to control XPatch. The Plugin lets you change pathstores, enable/bypass paths and bypass devices.

Interfacing via Ethernet you can use the plugin to control XPatch4.11 on the same or remote computer from your DAW. Names and colours are copied from XPatch. Here are some screen shots of the interface running with XPatch4.11.

We are looking for feedback so it would be appreciated if you let us know what you think of it so far and if you have any ideas on improvements that could be made.

We have also included an AU version, but currently untested, if you would like to try it and let us know how it goes that would be great.

We also plan to release an AAX version at a later date.

Case Study of Ian Barter’s Studio Upgrade to XP-Relay16 with XP-Relay32

Recently Ian Barter an existing customer asked for advice on replacing his XP-Relay16 with an XP-Relay32 to incorporate more of his gear from his studio which he uses for Writing, Tracking, Mixing and Mastering.

After some discussion we decided to create the setup file for him. This would allow us to test a couple of new XPatch4 features the Device List (Menu/View/Device List) and Connectors (Menu/View/Connectors).
