When creating an external redirect using mod_rewrite in Apache .htaccess files you nearly always should be using the "L" (last) flag to prevent later directives being processed. I wouldn't actually recommend doing this using Apache (.htaccess) alone, but this solution employs some useful (and overlooked) fundamentals of mod_rewrite that can be used in other areas. (Aside: Better to do this particular task in your application logic and white-list the target URLs, as scripts like this are often abused by scammers.)
