If things feel quiet right now, make the most of it.

Last autumn, mid-October was the quietest week across the Apex ANS network. Five weeks later, the network was handling almost 15,000 call-outs a day, and flat batteries had doubled in a single cold snap.

The busy season doesn't arrive on a set date. It creeps in, then hits all at once. And with accident work holding steady, it's the surge of breakdowns on top that stretches an operation.

Office closed - Friday 9 October

The Apex office will be closed next Friday, 9 October, for a company event.

At last week's Tow Show, we caught up with Peter Hamill, Director at Hamills Motoring Services - a family-run operation running two bases across Ireland since 1964.
