One of my proudest moments as a freelancer was seeing this Beder cab roll into Sloane Square wrapped in my design. Here’s how it went from a quick scrawl in my sketchbook to something I actually rode around London in.

Design is all about delivering a message in a creative way, so once I’d decided on “Reach Out” the rest followed very naturally.

Beder were amazing to work with and gave me the creative freedom to go nuts with the artwork. Can’t thank them enough for the opportunity 🙏

I’m super proud to be involved with such an inspiring group of people raising awareness of mental health - something that we can all struggle with, but the solutions aren’t always obvious. Beder provide an important alternative with their Free Therapy Vouchers 🙌

Thanks again to Beder for “reaching out”. If you or anyone you know is struggling, please make sure you do the same (just search “Beder Therapy Vouchers”)

A Brand has one job - to get chosen.

Sounds simple, but it’s anything but.

In order to be successful your branding has to help you build trust with your target audience, show that you are different from your competitors and do something to be memorable. And it has to do all this in a few seconds.

How do the top brands do this? Emotional Storytelling.

Put simply, a good brand is trying to make people FEEL something. And not just anyone - they are trying to make a specific person feel a specific way.

Photography, video, audio, visual design and the intangibles in between all add up to create a desired emotion - attracting your people and repelling those you are not for.

Take vintage brands for example - Nostalgia is their tool - associating themselves with all the memories and feelings that come with it.

So, when it comes to building brand identities, my philosophy is simple -

“Make ‘Em Feel Something”

But more than that, make the right person feel the right thing. Then you’re off to the races ✌️🏁

Curious: how does this post make you feel? 🧐

📢 New Branding Work!! 📢

So stoked to share this recent branding project for Ariadne Expert Support!

Ariadne provides MedicoLegal administration support for Expert Witnesses across the UK. This is not a sexy industry, which meant we had a huge advantage - few competitors invest in their brand.

Working collaboratively with the client we were able to build a brand that is totally different to every other business in the space….

Comforting not clinical
Premium but with character
Assured and confident on their own terms

I was brought in right at the beginning - before the company even had a name - so it was great to be able to help build everything about the brand from scratch.

What I did:
• Strategic Brand Foundations
• Naming Workshop
• Full Visual Identity inc Logo Suite & Illustrations
• Brand Guidelines
• Website
• Email Marketing Designs

This was such a satisfying process to be involved in. Katie and the team put such trust in me and what we delivered smashed all expectations (including my own!).

I have so much more to talk about with how this brand all came to life so there will be more coming on this.

For now I’ll just say human collaboration > anything AI can slop out ❤️

Well if everyone’s doing it! Here’s my logoarchive post.
Some client work, some passion projects, some stuff from the cutting-room floor.

To be honest, I’ve been completely humbled by all the posts I’ve seen of this trend, to the point where I nearly didn’t post this. But hey, I figure this is all meant to be fun! 🤷‍♂️
