The dreaded day finally arrived….and it’s worse than we’d imagined 😫😫
Ofgem today revealed the energy price cap for the average household would be £3,459/year from the 1st Oct 2022.
That’s an 80% increase on the current price cap 🤯 …they also predicted that it would increase a further 52% in January and another 23% in April next year.
So for those of you still on a variable tariff, here’s a simple calculation to see what you will be paying for your energy by April next year.
Currently monthly payment x 1.8 x 1.52 x 1.23
Eg. £150/mth x 1.8 x 1.52 x 1.23 = £504.79/mth
If you don’t like the look of these numbers and would like me to do you a quote with UW for a fixed tariff (currently the cheapest open market switch), then please get in touch.
I continue to work full-time in the NHS, but I will do my best to get back to you asap.
Just drop me a comment on here or private message me and I’ll be in touch as soon as I can.
