It’s August Bank Holiday Monday… what’s the plan? ☀️🌧️

A walk that definitely ends at a pub?
A BBQ while repeatedly checking the weather app?
A day out somewhere that approximately 40,000 other people have also decided to visit?
Or absolutely NOTHING… and very happy about it?

The Orbital studio is closed today while we make the most of the Bank Holiday, whatever the weather decides to do.

📍 A little look around Orbital HQ…

We’ve been based in Ramsbottom for over 13 years now, and we still wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

Right in the middle of town on Silver Street, our studio is where the ideas happen, the designs take shape and, most importantly, where you can actually pop in and talk to us.

You can look through print samples, see promotional products, feel the fabrics, have a nosey at different finishes… or just sit down with us and chat through what you need.

And being surrounded by so many brilliant independent businesses (quite a few of whom we’re lucky enough to work with) makes Ramsbottom a pretty good place to come to work every day.

So here’s a little peek inside and outside the studio.

Question of the day: Is black actually a colour?

So we got to talking in the studio today...

Is black actually a colour? 🤔

Half the studio says yes.
Half says no.

Apparently, in science, black is the absence of light, but in printing, black is absolutely considered a colour because we physically print with black ink.

So now we're even more confused.

What do you think... colour or not a colour?

Please help settle the debate before it gets brought up again tomorrow morning! 😄

How many times do you pick up a pen in a day?

Probably more than you realise.

Which is exactly why the humble branded pen is still such a good bit of promo merch.

Useful, easy to hand out and, if it’s a decent one, likely to hang around on someone’s desk for a good while too.

These smart little numbers are for B&E Boys — keeping their name to hand, quite literally. ✍️

She’s officially swapped print quotes, client emails and keeping us all organised for some very well-earned time off.

Turns out, people still quite like dealing with actual people.

We've had lots of visitors popping into the studio lately and it's been lovely to see.

A chat over a brew, looking at real samples, talking ideas through face to face... and suddenly things don't feel quite so overwhelming.

After a year of mixed messages and wondering who to trust, there's something reassuring about being able to walk into a real place, meet real people and know exactly who's looking after your brand.

No sales pitch. No pressure. Just a friendly chat and plenty of ideas.
