Check out the new site for Chalkie’s School for Dogs - thank you Ashley Chalkie White for choosing Chobble Tickets!

I've known Ashley from the bouncy castle days. He now pays £40 per month for a "support included" site with these upgrades over the basic hosting fee:

- Chat support over Whatsapp / Facebook
- A customised theme
- Email addresses and domain managed
- Search engine monitoring
- Prioritised feature requests

You can book training sessions through the new site, and purchase products directly from Ashley. I don't take any cut of sales - it goes straight to your Stripe / Square / SumUp account.

You can also DIY yourself a Chobble Tickets site - either by self hosting and managing it yourself entirely because the code is totally free and open source, or by paying me £5 per month for a "hosting only" package, or £2.50 if you're a charity, co-operative, artist, musician, or if you're skint.

If you host events or sell products, and you want a straightforward, low cost website solution which looks decent on all devices and is easy to manage and grow, hit me up!

I'm Ashley White, though most people call me Chalkie and I'm a dog trainer based in Tetbury, Gloucestershire as well as Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset. I help owners across the Cotswolds and Mendips with loose lead walking, recall, reactive dogs, puppy training and gundog training. Most of my wor...

Many thanks to Danny at Oxford University Electronic Music Society for choosing Chobble Tickets for their upcoming - sold out! - night of duv duv duvs, and for giving a load of really useful feedback and feature suggestions which have improved the system for everyone, including:

- Partial check-ins for people who've bought multiple tickets
- "Scanner" user types who can only scan people in
- Pre-filled promo code URLs
- Tweaks to hidden listings to allow quantity tracking for promoters

And thanks to Ben at Jersey Girls Dairy in Bury who has given loads of useful feedback about the API and email templates

And thank you to the users who've written in about the things they've got stuck on. I've updated the guide and support system to write things in plain language so hopefully you'll be less lost from now on.

Chobble Tickets is £5 per month or £50 per year for as many listings as you like - and I don't take any cut of your sales. For a fully managed service where I sort your domain and website and emails out, it's £40 per month.

Hit me up!

The Chobble team (me and wife Alex) are just getting home from a stay at our friend’s anarchist commune in East Berlin

The trip was inspiring - we lived with a community of punks and families from around the world - and has encouraged me to make some small changes to how Chobble operates:

- All contributors to Chobble’s open source projects will be thanked and given credit, even if their contribution is “just” a bug report or feature idea

- The 50% discounted charity price for Chobble Tickets is extended to all low income users - just select the cheaper tier when renewing, I don’t need you to prove your skintness

- A new 200% “solidarity” pricing will let people pay more for hosting if they believe in and want to support Chobble’s mission

- Sometime soon I will integrate a message board into the system so users can share tips and advice

My aim with Chobble Tickets is ambitious - I want to p**s off the execs at Ticketmaster by taking millions of pounds out of their bank accounts and into the accounts of event organisers. And the way to get there is through collaboration and community, I hope.

Photo is a Russian soldier commemorating the 80,000 who died fighting the N***s in the Battle of Berlin. Humbling stuff!

Every couple of days, someone signs up for my open source PAT Inspection logging site (PatLog) and stores a few tests, for free

A couple of times a month, a bouncy castle inspector signs up for my (£50/yr) open source play equipment logging system (Play-Test) and starts using it for their inspections

Maybe once per month or so, someone signs up for my (£50/year) open source online ticket sales system (Chobble Tickets), and starts using it for events they're running, saving £££s vs Eventbrite. And lately I've started spotting other nerds using the freely available code for their own projects, without involving me at all

None of these efforts pay me well - nearly all of my income comes from helping people build normal routine business websites, or helping them rank well on Google, or writing software for their specific one-off needs

The corporate jobs pay for the open source, community-minded stuff

Anyway this is all a long-winded way of saying, please employ me to build something for you!

The money you pay Chobble helps me create cool things that will hopefully benefit the wider internet.
