This Gaming PC came in running slower than a snail being pushed by a slug! It also had a lose RAM module which would sometimes make contact and cause the system to stop responding, I completely stripped this computer down to parts, cleaned the case throughly, repasted the CPU with new fresh thermal paste, tidied up the all the wiring once I replaced all the components, reseated the RAM correctly, moved the NVME drive to the correct M.2 socket, ran my usual windows tweaks and now this system is like new, around 30 seconds from power on to login screen, before it took over 2 minutes! This machine is ready for the customer to start enjoying again.

This Gaming PC built fresh out of the box for my customer, dual aspect clear tempered glass front and side shows off its beautiful interior, a TUF gaming B550 motherboard, its Ryzen 7 cpu and 32gb of RAM, and the GPU built by the gods GeForce RTX, load time is 30 seconds from power on to instant gaming! This Dell laptop came in riddled with more viruses than a medieval plague pit, services and start up apps slowing it down and making it worse than a 1990’s dial up connection!! After an hour of tinkering it’s now back to a suitable speed for its age and after a tetanus booster shot it can go home to its owner happy once again.

This HP Pavilion came in with an unusual issue, when the client would start to type the words would randomly highlight or the curser would jump to another part of the screen as if someone was moving the mouse and clicking it! Turns out the battery as seen in the photo had swelled up so much that any pressure applied to the keyboard would make the mouse pad act up clicking and moving the curser about, new battery installed and tests run, the usual inside and outside clean up carried out and latest updates installed, ready to be collected.

They Dell Optiplex 780 came in with a faulty PSU, the computer would power on for a few seconds and instantly shut off, after a few tests and an internal inspection I found faulty components on board the power supply, a replacement was ordered and is now installled, the PC is working as it should, the usual spring clean and updates run. It’s now on its way back to its owner.

This Lenovo G50 laptop came in with a faulty power socket, a previous repair from another technician left it barely hanging on! The wire missing simply burnt out, a new socket and wire loom has been installed, tested and working correctly, the usual spring clean and updates have been run. Laptop is on its way back to its owner.

This custom gaming PC came in after a power cut at the customers house caused it to go haywire, my customer tried a bios reset but the system refused to power back on, after a full diagnostic and a bios firmware update, I found the issue was a wrongly placed front panel connector and once fixed the next issue was a windows update part way through installing during the power cut needed a system restore to undo the failed update. Updates re-run and ready to return to customer.
