Nothing is ever too old. Age is just a number.

Once again Dataquest has come to the rescue for a customer with a legacy hard drive. This one in particular was a 20MB 50 pin SCSI drive. The customer based in Germany chose us based on our experience with vintage hard drives. He was not disappointed as we managed to recover all of his lost data.

We recently received this very cool old Mac drive to recover. It came from a Macintosh SE, and the user was happy for us to share the information about the case. Specs Brand MiniScribe Model 8425SA HDA 06 PCBA 03 Unique 07 Capacity 20MB Interface 50 pin SCSI Year 1990 Cloning The first step to […]

Optane H10 SSD Data Recovery

This SSD has two devices created by internally splitting the PCIe lanes and providing two separate SSDs over the same connector: one small and fast, the other larger and relatively slower. This requires a specific data recovery process to be able to recover both devices. See link

Mixing With The High Flyers

We recently received a request from a specialized aerospace maintenance company. They had a failed hard drive which ran one of their parts production machines. For the company this meant costly down time of their manufacturing process so they opted for our emergency services.
Even though it required clean room rework and heads replacement we managed to recover the drive in its entirity and had it cloned to another drive and ready for collection the next day. Another gold star to add to our belt.
