What actually happens in a 20-minute mini session.

We meet at the spot you picked. We walk, we chat, the kids do whatever kids do — and I photograph
around that.
We try and make it as natural as possible and try not asking anyone to stop and pose. If someone needs a minute, we take it.
If a child point-blank refuses to look at the camera, that's a photo too. Honestly — some of my
favourites are the ones nobody "got right."

Twenty minutes is enough. You don't need to plan outfits for a week or bribe anyone into smiling.
Just come as you are.

The good weather won't hang around forever, so I'm opening a small round of mini sessions while it lasts. 🌿

Twenty unhurried minutes with your family, at one of three easy local spots — Craigavon Parks, Tannaghmore Gardens, or Edenvilla Park. No big production, nothing to prepare beyond showing up. You'll come away with edited images that actually look like your family, not a stiff studio line-up.

£75 per session, dates running from Sunday 30th August through to Saturday 5th September, including the Bank Holiday Monday.

If a proper set of family photos has been on the list for a while, this is a lovely, low-effort way to tick it off. Pick your slot at the link below, then pay to confirm it — details there too.

A few more from our morning in People's Park. 🌿

Slow, easy, and full of small moments — a flower studied for five minutes straight: that particular kind of focus kids get when they're really looking at something. Catching shadows and moments that make summers unforgettable...

Thank you again to the family who came along. Mornings like this are exactly why I do this.

Thank you to everyone who came out to People's Park this morning. 💛

The goal was to remind us that there are pictures everywhere; our job is just to know HOW to look for them.

The kids had fun "getting low" and looking for tiny things. And of course learning how to freeze a frame absolutely worked up an appetite for ice cream.

It was such a gentle, easy morning and I can't wait to do it again.
Every child went home with their Photo Explorer sticker, and a gallery of photos that they had taken themselves. Me, I went home with a very full heart.

As for the photos, only the first frame is mine. The rest all belong to a little Explorer😉

If mornings like this are your kind of thing, keep your eyes open for the next session in September—
no pressure, just a standing invitation to come along whenever it suits.

Last one before Tuesday (I promise 😉): you don't NEED to book to come along. 🌿

If you've been meaning to register and just haven't got round to it, don't let that stop you. Turn up at the tables behind the park office, 10:30–11:30am on Tuesday, and I'll be delighted to see you. Registering ahead just helps me know roughly who's coming — it's not a requirement.🤗

So here are the details:
🆓 It's Free
📖 You need NO experience;
📷 Bring whatever can take pictures (old phone for the kids, plastic camera - doesnt matter☺️);
👟 Wear comfy shoes ;
👪 And bring your little explorer.

We'll wander, notice the small things, and every child goes home with their Photo Explorer sticker.

I'd love to meet you and your family Tuesday morning. 💛

Somewhere between school runs and "everyone smile," a lot of us stop really looking.

Kids don't have that problem yet. Give a five-year-old five minutes outside, and they'll find the one oddly shaped leaf, the beetle taking its time crossing the path, the bit of moss nobody else noticed.
That noticing is worth protecting — it's most of what makes a good photo, and most of what makes a good morning outdoors.

One small tip: if you want to catch it on camera, get down to their height. Crouch, kneel, whatever it takes. The photo changes completely once you're seeing it from where they are, not looking down at them.

That's most of what we'll be doing on the walk next Tuesday — slowing down enough to notice, together.

Register, so I know you're coming!! (**Link in my Bio**)

A few people have asked what actually happens on the walk — so here's the honest, unglamorous answer.

We meet at People's Park. Everyone wanders together, at whatever pace suits your family. There's no
programme to follow and nothing to get "right." The kids have a little hunt to keep them busy — spot
a leaf, a lens-shaped view, a bee — and along the way I'll share a few easy ways to take nicer photos,
on whatever's in your pocket.

That's it. No performing for the camera. No queueing. Just a slow morning outdoors, with a small
sticker waiting at the end for every explorer.

If your family's more "wander and see" than "arrive on time and line up," you'll feel right at home.

The morning of her wedding, she was in the kitchen with her sister and her cousin, drinking coffee.
Her mum was quietly making sandwiches for the guests.
That was the scene — no fanfare, no schedule, no photographer chasing anyone. Just the four of them and the kettle, and the light coming in soft over the kitchen sink.

Some weddings ask for a spectacle. This one asked for presence. Small, cosy, home-shaped — held together by the people who'd already been holding this bride her whole life.

"My beloved is mine, and I am his." — Song of Solomon 2:16

Some of the best weddings I've photographed have had no aisle and no seating chart. Just people who'd been loved into that day, showing up to keep loving.

If that sounds like yours, I'd be gentle with it.

Another one from the archives.

I had so much fun with Shannon and Keenan. When we first started, they were both so shy. But it didn't take long for that to melt away. Their obvious adoration for each other completely won out, and before long, they were absolutely natural in front of the camera.

There is a beautiful, quiet strength in a love that is rooted in faith. You could feel it in the way they looked at each other—nothing loud or showy, just a deep, steady devotion.

And while they have grown since this day, as has their beautiful family, they'll always be these two gorgeous souls who had shy smiles and soft eyes for each other.

Some bonds are just built to last.
