Our developers are so busy coding away they forget to water the office plants. To save them from any further misery, we have connected our plants to the internet (and specifically CONTX, SENSEi's class leading IoT platform) so now the developers get real-time alerts at their desk when the plants get thirsty. No more dead plants :)

SENSEI ANNOUNCE ACQUISITION BY BLACKHAWK CAPITAL AND NEW APPOINTMENTS TO THE BOARD

It is announced today that Blackhawk Capital has acquired a majority stake in SENSEi Networks Ltd, the IOT solution provider. In addition, Alan Watkins and Kevin Lewis will join the board of SENSEi to represent Blackhawks interest in the Company.

Alan Watkins is co-founder and Chairman of Blackhawk Capital, a private equity boutique focussing on buy and build strategies within telecommunications, media and technology sectors. Alan brings his extensive experience in the IT industry as CEO and Chairman of many established and start-up companies, most notably as the founder of Cisco Systems in the UK which he built from a standing start to over £300m revenue. He became Chairman of CSI, after its acquisition by MML in 2017.

Kevin Lewis is also a co-founder and Director of Blackhawk Capital. Kevin has significant experience in the IT industry, specialising in mergers and acquisitions. After Blackhawks acquisition of CSI Limited in 2007, Kevin became the Chief Financial Officer and was responsible for the Company’s strong growth through an aggressive acquisition strategy. He also sits on the Board of CSI as a Non-Executive Director and is Chairman of the Audit Committee.

SENSEi provides an end-to-end, enterprise grade IoT solution that combines a proprietary, state of the art cloud analytics platform, multi-platform interfaces and always-on hardware enabling business, enterprise and public sector organisations to track, monitor, analyse and respond to a multitude of remote assets and their associated contextual data in real-time without need for human interaction.
