I just finished building and overclocking this amazing I9 11900K, RTX 3090 machine for the customer.

CPU reached stable 5.2 GHz on all 8 cores with no AVX offset and maintained amazingly low temperatures under full load. That's an awesome performance increase compared to stock 4.8 GHz.

Even older MacBooks Pro are worth refurbishing. Older generation I5 and I7 CPUs are still capable to provide sufficient computing power for everyday tasks.

After few years of usage, MacBook slows down mainly due to insufficient cooling which causes the CPU to throttle down to reduce heat emission. Once the cooling system is properly refurbished temperatures and performance are back to normal.

Fitting an SSD storage plays an important role too. Even if your MacBook was supplied with the SSD from the factory it is still worth upgrading with a more modern SSD as this could result in faster transfer rates.

On top of hardware upgrades, it is important to update the system. Often Apple does not allow users to install the latest Mac OS on their older but still fully capable MacBook. Luckily there's a way to overcome this and update your older Mac computer to further unlock its potential.

Here is a good example of the 2013 MacBook pro which after full refurbishment is now running fast and cool.

Interesting repair! Customer brought expensive, high-end, bluetooth headphones which displayed symptoms of the failed speaker. Headphones have been used in the harsh environment of a stone workshop. Inspection with the use of a microscope revealed the presence of tiny metal filings all around the speaker's membrane. After the removal of all foreign objects, headphones are now restored back to working condition.

At Tech Ambulance we can save even badly damaged devices. Footage below comes from the microscope. It shows reconstruction of the damaged paths connecting micro USB port with the rest of the logic board. Wire utilized for this job is 0.1mm thick (similar to the human hair).

This is a 2011 iMac.

Problem: Slow to boot (over 10min), slow to use.

Cause: Overheating, outdated HDD.

Solution: New SSD installed, cooling system refurbished.

Price: £160 total.

Before asking Tech-Ambulance for help, customer tried with other repair shops but each time been told to buy a new computer. Now after refurbishment customer's iMac boots up well under 20sec and offers performance which is more than satisfying.
