It's quite cathartic to go back and look at the journey so far.

Co-founder and Head of Innovation took some time out last year to talk to the team at University of Plymouth to share Elixel's story.

From studying on campus, to placement, to co-founding Elixel and Digital Plymouth.

On-location user testing is essential for projects like this.

This week, the team headed to the beach to test the latest version of the Bioblitz application we have been creating with the Rock Pool Project.

An app we hope will streamline the way the Rock Pool Project team deliver their Blitz competitions. A 90-minute nature survey that gets people into teams and awards them with points based on the rarity of their discoveries. Most points win.

The application presents several challenges, as it must cater to the needs of both biologists and the general public. It requires a signal for users to be able to upload discoveries and for the visionAI to recommend species.

Our team traded our offices for the Plymouth coastline to test the latest version of the Bioblitz App we are developing in partnership with the Rock Pool Project.

Our Head of Innovation has been in Lisbon for the last few days immersing himself in the world of startups, tech and innovation at .

AI is definitely the main topic of conversation as you will probably expect. Start-ups have been showcasing it's use in fashion, accounting, law, health and wellbeing and many other sectors.

Gavin is hoping to bring his learning from the events back into our work with clients.
