Resumption of our While You Wait Service

APOLOGY
No "While You Wait Service"

Due to staff shortages, Bretonside Copy offers our sincere apologies that we are unable to offer a ‘While You Wait’ customer service today.

If you have emailed us with an order for printing we shall answer it as soon as is possible but our usual prompt timescale for answering your email may also be delayed.

If you wish only to collect a pre-placed print order then please enter the shop to collect as normal.

We hope that you will understand our circumstances during these difficult times and rest assured that we shall resume our normal level of customer service just as soon as possible.

We will post again on Facebook just as soon as we can resume normal service.

Just a quick update on Bretonside Design, Print & Copy activities over the past month.
April was a very busy time for us as we were faced with the installation of a new printing press whilst we were handling the annual demands from The University of Plymouth students for hard and soft back versions of their dissertations.
Fortunately, we managed to meet all student hand-in date deadlines without any major issues and the installation of our new Xerox Versant 180 press went as smoothly as it possibly could have.
This new press has opened new opportunities for us in its ability to produce highly accurate back to back print alignment.This in turn has enabled us to automate many of our workflow processes resulting in even faster turn-around times for finished products. e.g. same day business cards anyone?
In addition, the press can also produce a 6 page A4 folded brochure on 300gsm card which is ideal for Estate Agents wishing to promote and advertise particular homes for sale or rent. By the way, If you are friends with Estate Agents please let them know!
Finally, I would like to thank David, Jess, Luke and Rose (The Bretonside Team) for their great assistance as usual but especially over the past month which has sometimes been a difficult but mostly successful time for us.

Digital Hot Foil Printing on
Hard-Backed Books with a
Thermal Resin & Steel Crimped Binding

With the acquisition of two new machines, we have now expanded our digital hot foil printing and thermal binding capabilities. This means that we can produce beautiful foil printed hard-backed bound books in-house with a resin and steel crimped spine binding feature…… perfect for dissertations, thesis, reports presentations and photo books of up to 340 sheets. We offer a choice of foiled text (including logos) printed directly onto the hard-backed front cover and spine in either Gold or Silver foils all with a two or three day turn-around and for your peace of mind, we can edit previously bound books by re-heating the book to remove original sheets or add new. We can also foil print onto business cards and a wide range of other business stationery products all without the need to pay for expensive foil stamping print blocks. Woodland Trust
Just to let our friends know that Bretonside Copy have for sometime now been doing our bit for the environment in the shape of our participation in a scheme operated by the Woodland Trust. Their Carbon Capture Scheme is dedicated to planting trees on behalf of members who purchase paper and board from an environmentally sustainable source such as that operated by our prime supplier "Premier Paper". Each month the amount of paper and board that we purchase counts towards a financial donation to the Carbon Capture Scheme. Just in case some of our arty friends are a bit concerned about the continuing quality of our fine art printing following the sad demise of our previous faithful Canon iPF printer ......................we have now had a few days working with its replacement, the all new Canon Pro 4000 (the only one in the South West of less than 25 in the UK) and we are really impressed by the clarity and high quality of the prints that we are already producing. All round it produces fine art prints of even better quality than before and if you are looking for semi gloss or gloss photographic work then in our view this printer is unsurpassed.

Just thought that our clients might appreciate that this year we signed up to The Woodland Trust Carbon Capture Scheme. This scheme plants new woodland in the UK, dependant upon the amount of paper that is purchased by scheme members who contribute a small price premium on each purchase. Please see attached our certificate for the past quarter which states that we contributed 9.55sqM of new woodland planting which in turn removed 382Kg of Carbon Dioxide from the atmosphere. Not bad but with your help we could do better!
