Ukraine Support – We can all do something!

The devastating events in Ukraine have left all of us with a feeling of shock, sadness, anger and also a fair degree of helplessness.

But there is something we can all do.

Our team members Pawel and Magdalena have been working around the clock to provide assistance to the owner of the House of Feasts restaurant and the Ukraine Lifeline Appeal launched by Cambridgeshire company Buffaload Logistics

The Opals team have been donating what they can to help and
the first convoy of vehicles is heading to Ukraine today (Thursday 3rd March) packed full of donations from around Peterborough including the Opals team donations.

…. And this is just the start – more trucks and more convoys will be travelling to Ukraine for as long as they can to help those so terribly affected by the conflict.

Anybody reading this CAN help by dropping off urgently needed Baby items, Hygiene, Medical or Equipment supplies at one of several locations in Peterborough, Wisbech, Iselham, Pyemoor, Burwell, Willburton or St Ives - as per the web-site link above.

Everybody involved in this initiative has our utmost respect – they have acted quickly and their efforts will make a huge difference.

Please help them if you can and as soon as you can.

Thanks to Really Awesome Coffee for visiting our Head Office last week.

We work hard at Opals Group so it was really nice to get out in the sun and have a bit of downtime. We had a chat over some really awesome coffee, looking forward to seeing you again.

We work in a busy sector which currently has a skills shortage.

To combat that we launched our Fibre Engineer Finder Programme at the end of last year and our first intake are already out in the field helping to build fibre networks and getting better every day.
