PVS is seeking a Trainee Audio Visual Engineer

The Role:
PVS is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team. As a Trainee Audio Visual Engineer, you will assist the Lead Engineer with; first and second fix audio visual installations; cabling and installing of audio visual systems and equipment, wiring and installing of equipment racks as well as terminating & testing audio visual equipment for both commercial and in-home projects.

Experience:
Experience is not essential as full training will be available if you are a beginner. We are looking for someone who is adaptable and wants to progress.
(May suit a school or college leaver who wants to learn & develop engineering skills or someone who has some experience but wants to gain more skills)

Required Skills & Attributes:
• Excellent work ethic and good attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure & as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and able to use initiative
• Have a technical mind set with an interest in the audio visual industry
• Some installation/cabling experience would be beneficial but not essential.

Salary Range £18-24k

We offer; an attractive salary, paid overtime, 21 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays), pension scheme and tools are provided as well as ongoing training and career advancement.

Salary Range £25-35K (depending on experience)

We offer; an attractive salary, paid overtime; 21 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays), pension scheme, tools are provided as well as ongoing training and career advancement.

Experience:
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in:
• Cabling, installing and configuring of audio visual systems & equipment
• First and second fix audio visual installations
• The wiring and installation of equipment racks
• Terminating of all types of AV and data connections
• The ability to follow cable schedules & risk and method statements
• Efficiently carrying out audio visual installations within time and budget
• Logical and methodical fault-finding skills

Skills & Qualities:
The ideal candidate must:
• Have minimum 12-months AV installation experience
• Be a team player, resourceful, organised & flexible
• Have a full UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel for work with overnight stays across the UK
• ECS/CSCS useful but training and test will be provided
