Water damaged Macbook Pro in this week. Managed to get it fired up and get a data backup. I was feeling pleased. Lay it on by workbench with rear cover off. Turned away from it for a moment and heard a sort of futt and a hiss sound. Looked back and one cell in the battery caught fire. Quite a violent fire. If I'd not been next to it could have easily escalated and caused a major fire. Managed to extinguish the fire before too much damage was done. Thankfully the machine still works. Going to need a new battery and one speaker. Be careful with these batteries folks.
