Two weeks on, and if we’re honest, it’s only just starting to sink in.
The first few days after the fire were a blur of shock, phone calls, meetings, trying to contact clients, and simply dealing with what had happened.
Now things have gone a little quieter, the reality of what we’ve actually lost is hitting much harder.
Not just equipment and a unit, but years of hard work, investment, tools, personal belongings, ongoing projects, and the new space we’d only just moved into and were so excited about.
Freq has never just been equipment in a warehouse to us. It’s years of long days, late nights, missed weekends, problem solving, stress, passion, and building something we were genuinely proud of.
The kindness people have shown us over the last two weeks has meant more than we can properly put into words. The messages, calls, offers of help, equipment, advice, introductions, and people simply checking in have genuinely kept us going.
We also want to say a huge thank you to Paul Jinal Bevan for setting up the fundraiser for us personally. It was completely unexpected and incredibly kind at a time when everything felt very uncertain.
We’re still working through insurance and trying to work out what recovery looks like, so we don’t have many clear answers yet, but we just wanted to say thank you.
