Another visit rescued by our portable Starlink.
Setting up a new MacBook as well and as quickly as possible.
Reducing the time spent on site and reducing the cost for our customer.
Thanks to the rural broadband speeds on site and the size of the initial, unavoidable, Mac OSX Taho update (let alone subsequent M365 and other full install downloads) which can’t be avoided, this MacBook install was threatening to take 8+ hours. There’s no way we can allow that.
Out came the Starlink Mini from the car and the speeds were up around 240 Mbps at times compared to the 4-6 Mbps of the resident broadband.
Job done in a fraction of the time.
