Our next event in our fundraising efforts to support our veterans will be this week.

Andreas will be joining a team of veterans, who are not able to sleep out with us, in their Tommy Quadrathon challenge - 400km in 8 hours rowing, cycling, running and walking.

If you are able to do so please give what you can to this great cause and help support veterans who are less fortunate than us and go homeless or need support.

All donations go to Royal British Veterans Enterprise charity to raise vital funds and awareness, helping to provide safe shelter and mental health support to homeless veterans.

I am making the most of my warm bed tonight for the last night before my sleep out in support of homeless veterans.

Make it really worthwhile by giving generously to help our nation’s heroes. Our armed forces veterans need your support and deserve the country’s respect.

I will also be joining a team of veterans, who are not able to sleep out with us, in their Tommy Quadrathon challenge - 400km in 8 hours rowing, cycling, running and walking.

All donations goto Royal British Veterans Enterprise charity to raise vital funds and awareness, helping to provide safe shelter and mental health support to homeless veterans.

Andreas will be joining a group of Veterans on 20th March by swapping his bed to sleep under the stars to raise awareness and funds for our most vulnerable veterans. Too many veterans experience homelessness!

This won't exactly replicate rough sleeping, but it does give an idea of the situation far too many of the nation’s heroes find themselves in.
.. and for the RAF Chaps who are taking part and who are more used to 'Checking in' than 'Digging in' it's going to be really tough!

The location as last year will be the Stocken Lane Plantation known unofficially as the Scout Wood.

Funds raised go to RBVE to provide safe, warm housing and ensure everyone has a fair opportunity to gain employment, regardless of health conditions or disability.

Please give generously and if you would like to join us you are more than welcome to join the fund raising team by adding yourself to the link below.

After sponsoring Oakham’s roundabouts for 25 years - starting back when there was only one roundabout in Oakham, on Burley Road - our signs will soon be coming down. They’ve done their job.

Don’t be alarmed, we are not going anywhere.

We’re thriving, providing IT and computer services to businesses nationwide, and supporting residents across Rutland and the surrounding area - from our base on Station Approach

Amanet was honoured to formally receive the Ministry of Defence ERS Gold Award at a ceremony held on Thursday, 20 November, at Toyota Headquarters in Derby. The award was presented by the Minister for Veterans, Louise Sandher-Jones MP. We were privileged to be accompanied by the Lord-Lieutenant of Rutland, Dr Sarah Furness, whose presence highlighted the importance and prestige of this occasion.

The Gold Award is the highest recognition for organisations who support and advocate for the Armed Forces community, including Reservists, Service Leavers, Cadets, Cadet Adult Force Volunteers, Military Spouses, and Military Families, as enshrined in the Armed Forces Covenant.

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise made by the nation to ensure that those who serve, or have served, in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly and not disadvantaged by their service. It's a commitment to acknowledge the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces community and provide support.

Based in Rutland, the UK’s smallest county and deeply proud of its connection to the Armed Forces. 20% of our population is serving armed forces personal, reservists, Veterans and their families; we want to create a most forces friendly county by encouraging organisations to make a pledge to the Armed Forces Covenant, to show pride in our country, our county of Rutland and in our Armed Forces. This Gold Award is not so much an accolade for Amanet but also for our very special county of Rutland. 'Multum in Parvo'

We would encourage anyone who is curious about the Covenant, especially those based in Rutland, to contact our Forces Champion, Andreas Menzies who will be happy to help you.
