AI-generated images are everywhere, and while they can look impressive on screen, there's something worth thinking about before dropping one straight into your print artwork.

Is the image actually suitable for print?

An AI image might look sharp on your phone or laptop, but enlarge it for a brochure, poster or banner and you may start noticing:
➤ Strange or distorted details
➤ Unnatural text and lettering
➤ Odd-looking hands, objects or backgrounds
➤ Inconsistencies you didn't spot at first
➤ Not enough resolution for the size you want to print

And that's the important bit. Something that looks great at a small size on a screen won't necessarily look great once it's printed at A3... or blown up onto a large-format display.

AI can absolutely have its place in the creative process, but don't assume AI-generated means print-ready.

Before sending anything to print, zoom in, check the details and make sure you've got the quality and resolution needed for the finished size.

What is bleed and why does it matter?

Bleed is the extra space around your design that gets trimmed off during the printing process. It ensures your artwork runs right to the edge of the page without leaving unwanted white borders.

Without it, even the slightest movement during trimming can leave your print looking unfinished.

It’s one of those small technical details that makes a big difference to the final result - especially for professional-looking marketing materials.

NCR stands for No Carbon Required. Write on the top sheet and your information is automatically transferred onto the copies underneath, giving you multiple records without the need for old-fashioned carbon paper.
