🌱 It doesn't take a huge park or nature reserve to make a difference. Sometimes it's a planter outside a local business or a green space in the heart of the city.

Last week, the Littlefish Group team joined GrowNotts to get hands-on with some gardening and maintenance work across Nottingham city centre for . It's a great reminder that small interventions can have a big impact, creating valuable habitats for pollinators and bringing more nature into the places where people live, work, and study.

A big thanks to Jack Harris and the entire GrowNotts team for having us, and to It’s In Nottingham for bringing us all together! Bonus points for the flower cuttings that brightened up the office afterwards too 🌼🐝💚

☀️ Sunshine, great company, and even a few competitive streaks coming out …

Our annual Littlefish Group summer party delivered all three (and more!) last Saturday.

Some came for the sunshine; some came for the food – others came with a surprisingly strong desire to win the tug of war😅. Whatever the motivation, it was brilliant to see so many colleagues, friends, and family together on the day. 🎉

A brilliant day, and a great reminder of the people behind everything we achieve together. Thanks to everyone who made it one to remember and to our fantastic charity, Guide Dogs UK, for joining us and helping make the event even more special. 🐾

Say hello to the next generation of tech talent! 👋

This week we welcomed twelve new Service Desk apprentices across our Nottingham and Sheffield offices, and what a brilliant start it was. From day one, they’re stepping into real roles, building skills, and growing the confidence to make their mark in the world of technology.

Huge thank you to our Employee Success Associate, Martin Murphy, Baltic Apprenticeships, and everyone across Littlefish who gave our new starters such a warm introduction.

To our apprentices… we’re so glad you’re here. This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to see where you go next 🚀

It was brilliant to see Jillian Moore take to the stage for the “Building unbreakable teams that perform and adapt” panel at UK Partner Week at the end of last week. As expected, it sparked exactly the kind of discussion the industry needs right now 💭

As AI continues to raise expectations, organisations are navigating a more complex balance – supporting performance while giving people the autonomy, growth and confidence they’re looking for.

It was great to be part of the conversation, and even better to hear so many honest, practical perspectives on what it really takes to build teams that can adapt and thrive in today’s environment!

🚀 We’re proud to be inspiring the next generation of tech talent right here in Nottingham!

We loved being part of Bilborough College’s , delivering two Careers Insights sessions and an Employability Workshop to Year 12 students - opening the conversation about what a career in IT really looks like, and focusing on building confidence by sharing practical career insights.

For us, that means going beyond the classroom view and getting real: systems going down, services being disrupted, and the people like us who step in to keep everything moving when the pressure is on!

We shone a light on the many routes into the industry, open to those with a variety of interests and skills. Hearing directly from one of our apprentices sparked some brilliant questions and conversations.

All the students said they were as interested or more interested in apprenticeships after the session 👏Job well done!

We also brought our Women in Tech content into the workshop – sharing real voices from across Littlefish Group, including our CEO, Ursula Morgenstern. It clearly resonated and helped open up new perspectives on careers in IT.

Big thanks to Bilborough College for having us and for supporting our Apprentice Programme. Additional huge well done to our brilliant HR team, especially Sarah Warren for her engaging employability workshop, and our talented apprentice, Sophie Lawman for sharing her time and story 🧡

Sun’s out, and Dublin’s calling… and yes, we are packing our cyber brains along with us 🧠⚡🛡️

We’re pleased to say that Littlefish and our sister company, Storm Technology will be attending Dublin Tech Summit this week – joining thousands of innovators, tech leaders, and big ideas all under one roof at the RDS on 27–28 May.

If you’re heading out too, make sure you keep an eye out for Sean Tickle, our Cyber Services Director, who’ll be on hand for chats about all things cyber, resilience, and what’s really happening out there (no jargon, we promise!). The Storm team will also be on hand, of course, bringing their expertise in digital services, data, and transformation with them.
