CD player brought back to life for a customer ,reported constantly skipping , the now aged mechanical parts had got a bit stiff but this was repaired with out parts in an hour.

2 portable minidisc repairs today , 1 is dead on arrival as a disk has been rammed in ripping off the erase head , the other may be repairable, the grease has dried out and has stripped the gearbox , had this unit had a service it would have worked for many more years, older legacy media electronics CAN NOT continue to be used with out servicing as the grease and belts are now braking down at this point in there life, if you want to keep it running consider having it serviced if it has moving parts, CD players mini disc, all types of disk drives, ect ,

Failed hard drive , this 15 year old (ish) external USB 160 Gb hard drive had failed with a lifetime of photo, video and music on , we manage to recover 120gb of data from it , (99% of what was on it originally) we can recover data from all sorts of media and supply it back to you on the format of you choosing

despite turning down a lot of work lately due to being very very busy and unable to get anymore in the workshop , i never turn down the chance to work on some vintage HI-FI so in came this ROTEL RA-400 amplifier and tuner from around 1972, owner reported not working as it should and the tuner not working at all , despite a few issues sourcing the correct schematics at the start , the fault was found to be an issue with 2 small components, they were replaced and the unit was returned to the owner within 2 weeks for much less than a modern replacement that would be no where near as good as this
