Mixing new and used parts? Challenge accepted! 🛠️🖥️

Another interesting project just landed in our workshop. This time, the client brought in a custom mix of both brand-new and pre-owned components, asking us to put everything together, manage the cables cleanly, and most importantly—run thorough stability and performance tests.

For us, that’s no problem at all! Every single piece of hardware was carefully verified, correctly installed, and stress-tested to make sure everything runs at 100% capacity with zero unpleasant surprises.

How prebuilt PC manufacturers "trick" you on paper! 🖥️👀

A "prebuilt" PC came into our workshop. In the specifications, everything looks amazing and powerful—an Intel Core i7-12700 processor instantly catches the eye of anyone looking for high performance for demanding games like Total War: Warhammer 3 or Elden Ring.

What is the brutal reality? 🛑
Companies assembling these systems cut costs on core components, especially the motherboard and power delivery (VRM). Under full load, the VRM overheats significantly, forcing the system to apply a power limit to prevent failure.

Instead of running at its full boost clock of 4.5+ GHz, the processor gets throttled down to just 2.8 GHz, losing nearly half of its true performance! 📉

Why does this happen?
Because buyers often focus on just two marketing buzzwords: the CPU and GPU models. A prebuilt looks great on paper with an attractive price tag, but during actual gaming and heavy workloads, it fails to deliver its real potential.

🛠️ In this case, we did everything we could by installing a proper cooler and moving the components into a fresh, well-ventilated Montech case, but you can't bypass the physical limitations of a budget motherboard without replacing it entirely.

Always look beyond the processor name and check the baseline components (motherboard, power supply) before buying! If you want a build that actually runs at 100% capacity without hidden bottlenecks—you know where to find us. 😎👇

Computer crashing or lagging in games? 🎮❌

We just diagnosed a customer PC (featuring an Intel i7-12700 and an RTX 3060 Ti) that was freezing under heavy loads.

What did the diagnostics show?
Severe throttling! Both the CPU and GPU were dropping their clock speeds to rock bottom. The stock OEM power supply couldn't deliver stable power under combined load, and the tight case was turning into an oven.

What we proposed to the client:
🔧 Upgrading to a reliable, high-quality 650W power supply for stable voltage.
🌬️ Migrating components into a brand new, well-ventilated mesh case with a thorough clean-up.

🔧 Quick Diagnosis & Express Service at RL Computing!

A gaming PC recently came into our workshop due to a graphics card issue. Following our swift diagnosis, we found that the main culprit was GPU sag, putting heavy strain on the PCIe slot.

Because the customer was in a rush and needed the system back ASAP:
✅ We gave the interior a thorough blowout with an air duster to clear out accumulated dust,
✅ We advised the customer to order a dedicated GPU support bracket to securely protect the motherboard and graphics card from physical strain,
✅ We scheduled a follow-up date for a full, comprehensive deep clean later on.

The customer picked up their fully working PC right on time, and we made sure the hardware is safe and protected!
