Are you having issues with email this morning?

Last night the server was rebooted in the early hours to process some essential updates. A few accounts had authentication issues at around 3:30am, which may have locked out your account.

To update, the dedicated servers were switched at around 8:30am.

Websites should all be working fine but for those clients that connect to email using the emedias.co.uk hostname, there are likely issues because of some post migration actions that are taking place as we speak.

I will update this post as things progress and apologies for any inconvenience.

🌟 NEW WordPress website for the Heydon Village Tea Room…

I first discovered this lovely tea room via my work on the project.

By chance, month’s later I was able to give some advice to Cindy, who runs the venue, on a variety of booking systems for restaurants. Off the back of this, I was then delighted to be involved in a website redesign.

One aim of the redesign was to bring a modern and responsive design mixed with photos that really show off how great the venue is!

The bigger priority though was to integrate a booking system, firstly making it easier for customers to reserve a table but then also so Cindy could recoup a lot of hours spent on booking related admin tasks every week. A lot of energy goes into the running of her tea room so hopefully this will transform how her time is spent.

At the time of posting, while the new website is live, the new booking system is still being finalised and will go live in the coming weeks.

🌟 NEW WordPress website for Harvey Medical Aesthetics…

Zoe is an NMC registered midwife and recently opened her own aesthetics clinic in Norwich.

Initially I gave her some free advice on websites and the digital side of running a business but this then led to me designing a new website for her.

The aim was to create a website that looked professional, while backing the fact that Zoe is a trusted aesthetic practitioner and ethical when advising on treatments.

FULLY BOOKED FOR NEW WEBSITE PROJECTS…

I can no longer accept any new website design projects, as I cannot keep up with the extreme demand.

I’m honoured that my website design services are in such high demand (especially as you never know what the future may hold) but I must balance everything out so that I can support all my current clients alongside the new client projects that have been recently added to my work schedule.

I’ve gained a lot of new clients in the last 12 months, who have themselves told me that their current website designer (or host) is unresponsive and doesn’t reply to emails or phone calls. I want to make sure that I continue to keep my service standards very high for all my current and newly introduced clients.

Once the demand for my services returns to a more manageable level, I’ll update the website (and social media) to indicate the change and that I’ll be taking on new projects.

In extreme circumstances, if you are willing to wait more than 12 weeks for your project to start, I can advise what may be possible.

🌟 NEW WordPress website for ETT Photography…

I’ve been working with Mary for a while now, as I’ll often recommend her when a client needs quality photos to support their website.

Mary and I worked together to plan her website redesign and while a modern design was required, I also wanted to allow Mary to easily manage her extensive photography portfolio going forward.

Care was also taken to consider the implications of the redesign from a search engine optimisation point of view.

On a related note the new website scores very well on Google’s PageSpeed Insights audit tool, which should further benefit both real visitors and Google’s preference for fast loading websites which offer a good user experience.

Grace is a professional musician who plays the flute for weddings and private events.

This website needed to demonstrate the quality Grace holds as a musician but to also promote her elegant presence. The website includes audio samples of her musical performances.

A regular flow of new clients come from businesses who have a poor relationship with their current website designer or host.

When a potential new client calls me, often while they're shopping around for a new provider, I'll try to assess if I'm a good fit for their needs.

If the client is happy with what's proposed, a plan will be put into place to gain their trust and to show that everything will be taken care of with a high level of professionalism.
