This weekend 12-13 September, twelve amazing artists will get together at All Saints Church in Pytchley (near Kettering) to show their beautiful art. So whatever your jam (paintings, drawings, wood, glass or jewellery!), it is well worth a visit.

It's only three months to Christmas after all 😁

Mumma and bubba. So cute!
It was pure joy letting myself get lost in painting this evening, after allowing myself to relax....

(to relax after hanging 32 pictures at NMAG and Abington Park Museum, cooking dinner and doing a weekly food shop... and sorting out other bits)

Back to it tomorrow, lots to do tomorrow to get sorted for the weekend!

Some of THE BIG FIVE, some of THE LITTLE FIVE and a few extras. These are all heading to Abington Park Museum tomorrow.

Getting ready for all the different parts of Northants & Rutland Open Studios has been a mammoth task but we are nearly there!

I found a little bit of time in the afternoon to visit a fellow artist Andrew Wynne and see some of his wonderful art with my boy 🥰

It's easy to get lost in preparations and forget to enjoy the festival too!

He gets called all sorts but he is a hornbil. 😁

Watercolour, pastels (sticks, pencils, panpastel), coloured pencils, acrylic, pen were used in creating these six pieces and the other 14 (half a zoo and some plants!!!l) which are ready to be taken to Northampton Museum on Monday.

I spent most of the day tweaking them, cleaning (framing) glass, framing, in preparation for being taken to Northampton Museum for a super special exhibition with twelve other artists - opening next week!

More info in the next few days! 😁

A few minutes past midnight by the time I'm posting this because it was full on today.... but I saved the file at 23.59. Woohoo. Not that I was watching the clock, it just worked out that way.

Today was another one of those days when I got home late, had dinner late, got to bed late... and I reeeeeeally had to make an effort to pick up the iPad. I was going to make a perfunctory few lines.... and ended up rather enjoying myself. Sessions like these ALWAYS lead to totally unexpected results. And unexpectedly, I rather like this boy with his bubble leaves and square sky reflections 😁

I cannot wait for the opening ceremony of tomorrow night at Lamport Hall. I will have to make a more thought out post about my entries and activities but for now, here is a sneaky preview of my delicious giclee prints 😁

Today was THE day - the day when all the fabulous artists drop off their artwork at Lamport Hall for

I love spending this day at Lamport every year, unwrapping all the gorgeousness, admiring the hard work, meeting up with faces familiar and new...

My feet disagree after being stood on for 8 hours but they got a foot massage so they are slightly happier now!

It's 9pm and I'm in bed! But I did have a play with before retiring for the night. Impressive, ey?

Nothing serious was going to get done, let's be honest, so I imported a photo of a speedy cheetah and drew the main lines with various pens/tools. My favourite version was the last one I drew, so I added the spots to that one and that's the main photo on this post.

The next one is of all the layers merged.... and another one with the boss... and a couple of photos of THE place to visit this September 😍
