I turned up 2 minutes late. Tried to get in the wrong door (3 times). Accidentally swore (a bit too loudly) when I nailed a pose I’d been too scared to try before.
Oh, and definitely got a few puzzled looks when this brightly coloured, heavily tattooed gal burst into a peaceful little yoga studio in rural Wiltshire 😅.
Just me, the teacher, and two very serene women in their 60s.
It was quiet, it was gentle, it was not *quite* my usual vibe.
At first I felt SO awkward, babes. Ya know, the flashbacks of a lifetime being told you’re too loud and too chaotic and too obviously “me.”
And I definitely nearly masked up, shrank myself down to fit the space.
I *very nearly* tried to be calm and quiet and yoga-studio-appropriate™️ 🧘🏻♀️✌️
But I didn’t. Instead I rolled with it and let myself be a bit out of place. Chuckled at myself out loud, took up space, accidentally swore a bit more and made enthusiastic friends with the resident yoga studio dog (obviously!).
And by the end of the class I felt at home.
✨ Here’s the business-y bit:
This is EXACTLY what I want my clients to feel too.
Like it’s okay to turn up late, swear a bit, not have it all together.
Like they don’t have to mask or perform to get support.
Like there’s finally a space where they can build a business that fits them - messy, neurospicy magic and all ✨🧡
Positive Orange is for the people who don’t feel at home in traditional biz spaces.
It’s for the ones who want support that feels like a bucket of coffee with a gal who gets it, not a spreadsheet of shamey doom.
So if you’re building a business with ADHD and you’re tired of trying to “fit in”...
Come sit next to me, friend! You’re absolutely not too much 🧡
*Spoiler: I didn’t turn up looking like this to yoga, buuuuut maybe I should this evening!? 😂*
