I turned up 2 minutes late. Tried to get in the wrong door (3 times). Accidentally swore (a bit too loudly) when I nailed a pose I’d been too scared to try before.

Oh, and definitely got a few puzzled looks when this brightly coloured, heavily tattooed gal burst into a peaceful little yoga studio in rural Wiltshire 😅.

Just me, the teacher, and two very serene women in their 60s.

It was quiet, it was gentle, it was not *quite* my usual vibe.

At first I felt SO awkward, babes. Ya know, the flashbacks of a lifetime being told you’re too loud and too chaotic and too obviously “me.”

And I definitely nearly masked up, shrank myself down to fit the space.

I *very nearly* tried to be calm and quiet and yoga-studio-appropriate™️ 🧘🏻‍♀️✌️

But I didn’t. Instead I rolled with it and let myself be a bit out of place. Chuckled at myself out loud, took up space, accidentally swore a bit more and made enthusiastic friends with the resident yoga studio dog (obviously!).

And by the end of the class I felt at home.

✨ Here’s the business-y bit:

This is EXACTLY what I want my clients to feel too.

Like it’s okay to turn up late, swear a bit, not have it all together.

Like they don’t have to mask or perform to get support.

Like there’s finally a space where they can build a business that fits them - messy, neurospicy magic and all ✨🧡

Positive Orange is for the people who don’t feel at home in traditional biz spaces.

It’s for the ones who want support that feels like a bucket of coffee with a gal who gets it, not a spreadsheet of shamey doom.

So if you’re building a business with ADHD and you’re tired of trying to “fit in”...

Come sit next to me, friend! You’re absolutely not too much 🧡

*Spoiler: I didn’t turn up looking like this to yoga, buuuuut maybe I should this evening!? 😂*

Is there such a thing as too many dogs?! Asking for a friend... 😬

Herbert.
Nelly.
Daisy.
Bo the labrador comes to stay often...

It’s absolute chaos - barking at ghosts, stealing socks, fur on EVERYTHING.

But it’s the kind of chaos that keeps me sane. Because dogs don’t care.
They just don't give a s**t do they?

If I’m masking, hyperfocused, overstimulated, or running on three spoons and my second bucket of coffee.

They just look at me like, 'you’re doing great, babe!'

And that’s honestly the same energy I try to bring into my biz.

Most of my clients are neurospicy queens building empires in between meltdowns, medication adjustments and executive dysfunction days.

We get each other, we work in our own rhythm. We take brain breaks and still smash the f**k out of our goals.

So yeah, it’s chaos, but it’s my kind of chaos.

If you’re craving that too - a space that fits your brain, not fights it - come join an Orange You Working?! session.

They're FREE.

Bring your laptop, your dogs, your snacks, your crazy long to-do list and your messy brain - whatever you’ve got.

We’ll make it work 🧡

I moved house last weekend.. SEND HELP 📦 🏠 🆘

(Yes it's taken me THIS LONG to post about it because... stressful much?!)

And during the process, it could have been argued that I had my priorities messed up completely.

But the last thing to get packed was my art, because if that went before the sale completed, I’d just be sitting in an empty box.

And babes - I just absolutely COULD NOT.

My brain needs colour (don't act surprised! 🍊). It needs texture, chaos, comfort.

And what I've learnt since discovering my own neurodivergence, is that for people with ADHD and AuDHD, our surroundings matter SO much.

I know for some, especially ME, that a blank space can feel like one hell of a void, and suddenly you’re in a dopamine deficit.

So yeah, the art stayed up until the very last day. A little bit of me-ness to get me through.

And honestly, it’s kind of like business too - you’ve got to keep some colour around you, even in the in-between bits.

The move, the transition, the pivot, the rebrand - whatever it is - keep your version of art on the wall.

That tiny spark of familiarity is what keeps the inspiration wheels turning.

For a long time, I thought the reason I struggled in my corporate career was because I just wasn’t cut out for it.

I spent 10 years in social housing, most recently as a Tenancy Enforcement Officer. On paper, I was smashing it. Managing a large and challenging patch, growing trust and relationships with tenants, preparing detailed legal applications, representing the organisation in court, working with safeguarding, probation, domestic abuse services, and even visiting tenants in prison.

It was high-pressure work, and I was good at it. As a woman who had grown up in social housing, I understood, I cared deeply, and I made a heckin’ difference.

But behind the scenes, I was burning OUT.

My ADHD brain found it harder and harder to cope, especially after the additional trauma and anxiety of the pandemic.

Since my formal ADHD diagnosis (and pending autism one - currently peer reviewed 😅), I’ve been reflecting on how differently things could have been. If I’d known, I could have asked for reasonable adjustments. I could have given myself the compassion and space I needed, instead of constantly pushing through.

That realisation has completely reshaped how I run my business today.

🍊 I design my services with neurodivergent brains in mind.
🍊 I build in flexibility, kindness, and accountability.
🍊 I support my clients in a way that allows them to thrive, not despite their ADHD, but with it.

We don’t need to keep squeeeezing ourselves into systems that weren’t built for us.

We can create new ones that DO work instead, friends! 🍊

It’s thursdayyy and I’m still feeling SUPER sparkly from Victorious Festival over the BH weekend! Buckets of that unmasked, ADHD joy! ✨

I wore the sequin jumpsuit, I danced, I ate the greatest Pad Thai everrr on the grass in the sunshine 🥳.

I let myself be loud, bright, silly, aaaaall the things I used to think were “too much.”

Unmasking isn’t always some huge internal shift, friends 🧡

Sometimes it’s just choosing unbridled sparkly joy without editing yourself, and saying a big loud YASSSS to fun!

Letting yourself be weird and wonderful without apology 🤓

And that’s the energy I’ve been bringing into work this week (and always, lets be honest!).

If you’re craving a space where you can show up EXACTLY as you are, come hang out with me today at Orange You Working!? - my free ADHD-friendly co-working session at 3pm (UK time).

It’s chill. It’s supportive. Cameras on or off. No pressure to be productive, just come and sit with other lovely brains doing their thing!

You’re making more progress than you realise, and I can prove it 😍🧡

Some days your executive function is firing on all cylinders and you feel like a literal superhero 🦸‍♀️

Other days… it’s off having a nap while you’ve colour-coded your bookshelf (you know, the one full of books you’ve half read or never even opened but FULLY intend to!), deep-cleaned the toaster, and remembered exactly why you stopped wearing those shoes that rub your heels.

That’s why I love accountability coaching, because it’s not about ticking off a hundred things a day. It’s about noticing the little wins (yes, even the teeny-tiny ones), finding momentum that works for your brain, and remembering that kindness to yourself is absolutely bloody non-negotiable.

And my gorgeous client Vikki Colden said it perfectly:

“Zoë has helped me so much with keeping on track and remembering even the smallest steps is a win, suggesting practices and tips for things that can help me with my often easily distracted and diverted mind. I’m already using some of the tips for accountability in work and personal life which have helped me keep on track and complete tasks in a way that works for my brain. The constant reminder to be kind to yourself, which is something that is so easily forgotten with neurodivergent folk, is something I really treasure.”

So friends, if your brain likes to wander, your ideas never stop multiplying, and you could use someone to keep you on track and cheer you on… I’m your gal!

We’ll celebrate your wins, side-step the guilt, and make sure you’re moving forward in a way that feels good.

Progress isn’t just about getting sh*t done, it’s about feeling good while you do it 🥰.

I wore cat ears to a client call, and it changed everything 👀

A couple of weeks ago, I joined a body-doubling call with one of my gloriously ADHD clients.

She was already there wearing a Google Meets builder’s hat filter, just entertaining herself while she waited for me to arrive.

I took her by surprise, and we both completely lost it.

Cried laughing. Howled.

I joined in and picked a filter too (obvs 🤣), then she switched to something equally fantastic, and for the next hour, we planned, chatted, and got stuff DONE – still in our ridiculous filters.

It was this beautiful, silly, joyful moment that cracked something wide open for me:

This is my calling. These are my people. This is who I do my BEST WORK with 🧡

The neurodivergent, joyful, brilliantly chaotic humans who don’t need to “act professional” to be powerful.

And this is the COMPLETE opposite of the cold, unfeeling, over-masked, corporate world I once tried so hard to fit into 🙃.

The day I stopped hiding and started working with clients who don’t either, was the day everything started flowingggggg.

If you’d like a slice of these immaculate ADHD vibes, I’ve started “Orange You Working?” (see what I did there!) 🍊

It’s a free ADHD-friendly co-working session, every Thursday at 11am and 3pm UK time! 🧠

We hop on Zoom, say hi, share what we’re working on… then actually get things done.

There’s no awkward chit-chat, cameras are optional and pyjamas are ABSOLUTELY acceptable.

I even send reminders beforehand because… ADHD 😂

It’s like body doubling, but without feeling like someone’s breathing over your shoulder 👀

If you fancy joining next time, comment ORANGE on this post and I’ll DM you the link - it’s also in my bio!

So… Positive Orange is 5 today 🍊🧡

Which is WILD to me 😳.

Me? A business owner? For 5. WHOLE. YEARS!

People pay me to do all this exciting, fun, important stuff that I love!?

WHAAAAT!? Wild and magic in equal measure, friends!

And I really did have such grand plans to celebrate properly – a little at-home birthday shoot in my brand colours, an orange cake, balloons… the whoooole shebang.

Buuutttt in classic ADHD fashion, I realised yesterday I’d done none of it 😂.

But ya know what? That feels kind of perfect. Because if this business has taught me anything, it’s that things don’t have to be polished or perfect to be worth celebrating.

At the end of last I almost gave up on Positive Orange. I was burnt out from a mountain of big, heavy life stuff, I felt hideously overwhelmed, and like I’d totally lost my spark.

But ya gal didn’t quit.

I rebranded. I got clear on what really matters.

And I reminded myself that I bloody well love helping neurodivergent business owners feel less alone.

So here we are.

I’m still showing up. Still spreading joy, kindness and orange vibes.

And I’m still going – even if I forgot the balloons.

I’ve just started a really lovely weekly co-working session if you fancy some company. It’s a no pressure, no shame space – all you need to do is show up, get stuff done (or not), and chat with people who get your magic brain. Let me know if you’d like the link to join!

And I’d genuinely love to know – who are you? What are you working on? How can I cheer you on?

Here’s to year six, babes!!! 🎂

(And maybe next year I’ll remember the cake.)

Zoë 🧡 x

I’ve been in business 5 years… and I’m still living month to month. That feels scary to say on the internet. But honestly?...
08/07/2025

I’ve been in business 5 years… and I’m still living month to month.

That feels scary to say on the internet.
But honestly? We need to talk about this more.

It’s not because I’m crap at what I do.
It’s not because I don’t work hard - I’ve never made a loss, even when things have been really rough.
And it’s definitely not because my clients don’t get results (they do - I’ve got the gorgeous testimonials to prove it).

But I’ve done all the “right” things - the offers, the pricing tweaks, the mindset work.

And still… that little voice sneaks in:

💀 Am I just not cut out for this?
💀 Why is everyone else out here smashing 10k months?
💀 Is it ME? Am I the problem?

And if you’ve got ADHD on top of it, you’re juggling time blindness, people pleasing, forgotten invoices, rejection sensitivity, executive dysfunction, and about 17 tabs open in your brain at all times.

And here’s the bit no one talks about (but we really should):

The domino effect.

One client doesn’t get paid… so they can’t pay you.

Then you have to delay paying someone else.
And suddenly we’re all just out here - brilliant, sparkly, talented humans - waiting on someone else’s overdue invoice so we can pay the bloody mortgage.

This isn’t a pity post. It’s just the truth.
And I know I’m not the only one feeling it.

That’s why I’ve started running free ADHD-friendly co-working sessions twice a week at Positive Orange:

✨ Thursdays @ 1pm (UK)
✨ Fridays @ 10am (UK)

We show up exactly as we are - overwhelmed, hopeful, distracted, brilliant.

We get some stuff done (or not). We rest. We chat. We’re real.

No pressure. No pretending. Just our amazing selves business-building with people who get it.

🧡 Wanna join us?

Drop me a message and I’ll send you the Zoom link.

The reality of being a neurodivergent business owner? 🧠🌶️

Yesterday, it looked like this 👇

I went to a networking event - Atomicon to be exact.
Then I went to the after party.
I didn’t know anyone.
My brain was full of imposter sundries™ all day (yes, that’s the correct term).

I sat by myself, wine in hand, telling myself I’d go home once I finished it.

And then…
A lovely human came over.
She asked if I was okay.
I told her I was on my own, feeling overwhelmed, and that I’m neurodivergent.
She was warm and funny and instantly got it.
We had mutual biz pals.
She invited her friends to come over and join us.
And just like that, the night turned around 🧡

Being neurodivergent in these spaces is hard.

But sometimes, one moment of kindness is all it takes 🥰

If you ever feel like you don’t belong in a room - you do.
Even if your brain’s being loud about it.
Even if it takes time.
Even if your wine plan was “leave quietly.”

Your people are out there.

And sometimes, they’ll find you. ✨

👉 Have you had a moment like this lately?
Pop it in the comments or DM me – I’d love to hear. 💬
