🧊 This evening the warning is for ice and slippery roads, please drive safely.

❄️From midnight tonight, all day Wednesday & Thursday into Friday morning the warning is for snow and ice.

Please take extreme care in your travel and note the following:

- Possible travel delays on roads stranding some vehicles and passengers
- Possible delays or cancellations to rail and air travel
- Some rural communities could become cut off
- A chance of injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
- Untreated pavements and cycle paths might be impassable

Some useful advice below for those with Gas Heating.

Serious amount of calls today with people running out of gas, or hitting the 15 units which locks the meter out. Gas credit does not last as long as it used to, scary price these days, and goes so quick in the colder days. Few simple things to do before thinking your boilers packed in. If the boiler shows a fault code, get the book out and check it, or just as easy to Google it. Vaillant f28, baxi e133, ideal L2, vokera A01, Worcester EA, glowworm f28.....these usually (most of the time) mean you've ran out or locked up meter. Go to meter and hit red button.....if it says 15 Off you've locked it out. Put your gas card in and hold in black button until it beeps...then go reset boiler. If it's out completely with 0 credit you'll need to go get some, put it in, and do the same sequence above. If code continues then unfortunately its something more sinister. But the majority of calls today were able to be sorted on the phone. And turn your stat down on wall or timer, and the trvs on the radiators.....this will save you money and make gas last longer. Also if you are getting a gurgling noise from the boiler, and its cutting out, its usually a frozen condensate pipe outside. Check where it goes into drain and work back. Warm kettle sorts it 👍 please share, might help a friend out 👍
