That’s a wrap on the event! 🚗✨

It’s been a great few days of conversations, insights and plenty of discussion around the challenges fleet managers face every day.

To finish, we asked Sean Maher, our UK Sales Director, one of the most debated questions in the industry:

“Do drivers see tracking as protection or surveillance?” 👀

His conclusion was simple: it depends on how tracking is introduced and used.

When fleet managers are clear about the benefits, telematics can help improve services, support driver safety, protect drivers against false customer claims, increase productivity and give teams better information to make decisions. 📊🛡️

Used correctly, it should be about supporting people - not watching them.

And that comes down to how organisations communicate the purpose of the technology and how responsibly they use the data.

While at the event, we put a slightly unexpected question to Sean Maher, our UK Sales Director:

“What’s something people outside the fleet industry completely underestimate?”

It genuinely caught him off guard.

His answer? The amount of effort fleet managers put in every single day to keep their drivers safe.

Behind every vehicle on the road, there are people thinking about driver behaviour, vehicle safety, compliance, maintenance, risk and countless other details that often go unnoticed.

And ultimately, so much of that work comes down to one simple goal: making sure every driver finishes their day safely and gets home to their family. 🚗

It was a great reminder that fleet management isn’t just about managing vehicles. It’s about looking after people.

A lot of the most important work in fleet happens behind the scenes, and it deserves more recognition. 👏
