So, here it is... the 'Festy Kit' in all it's glory. Retuned, sounding quite lovely and ready to go! If you're putting on a festival or other musical event involving drum kits and tight changeovers, this could save a massive amount of time and stress (speaking from experience!) as not only do you get a drum kit, you also get a 'tech' to help with changeovers.

Feeling quite excited... I've just taken delivery of a Tama Swingstar 5 piece kit which I am intending to loan out to festivals and other events where drum kit sharing will be going on. Why? Well, I've played at many festivals and if you are a drummer you will know the frustration of short changeovers and prior to the event, finding someone who is willing to share their kit out. So with my kit, and me helping, I hope this frustration will be greatly minimised. Just need to buy a few bits n bobs and the kit will be ready for action!
Are you holding a music event or festival where this service might be useful - or know someone that does? Please spread the word and/or contact me for details.

So for just over a year I have been working with The Turning Tides Project CIC (https://www.facebook.com/TheTurningTidesProjectCIC/) whose belief is that everyone has the right of equal access to the arts and life. TTTP intend to make this right a reality for disabled people.

One of the projects I have been working on with TTTP is Morpheus - a soundscape around Arnos Vale Cemetry in Bristol inspired by the landscape and architecture at Arnos Vale. It was a fabulous experience working with everyone involved in this project.

So, been a tad quiet facebook-wise - that's not to say nothing's going on!

The next Highweek Inn cajon workshop is on the 16th of May 7.30-8.30
The next Moreton cajon workshop is on the 17th of May 8.00-9.00

Both these sessions will be based around listening and interpreting more arabian rhythms. The cost is a meagre £8. Fancy a go? I've got spare cajons if you don't have one
