Grade G – £18,587 gross per annum, starting salary (pending pay and grading review)
37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Initial 12-month fixed-term contract

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent customer service skills, experience of supporting end-user devices running Windows 7 and Windows 10 and experience of using Active Directory Users and Computers.

The IT Engineer will be part of the IT Support Team providing support and training to staff and students across all Cornwall Education Learning Trust sites. They will provide end-user support on Windows PCs, Apple Macs, iPads, Android Tablets, display and projection equipment, printers and PBX / IP phones and will assist in the operation of patching and updating of key systems, network and server installation, desktop and other user device configuration and all associated maintenance tasks.

The successful candidate will hold a Microsoft Certification or equivalent specialist qualification and English and Maths qualifications equivalent to Level 2. They will be a clear and confident communicator with a diverse technical skillset to be able to assist users in troubleshooting and resolving issues where possible. Experience of Microsoft Office 365 administrative roles and of supporting users on OneDrive and/or SharePoint would be desirable.

This is an exciting time to join our thriving Trust, which is responsible for educating learners across four secondary schools, one junior school and seven primary schools, with a Free School to open in 2021.

IT SERVICE DESK ENGINEER.
37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Initial 12-month fixed term contract.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with exceptional customer service skills, strong technical experience, and a demonstrable technical specialism, ideally in Office 365, or SharePoint Online.The role could be based in either of our Newquay or St Austell offices (or a mix of both)

The IT Service Desk Engineer will work closely with the Chief Information Officer (CIO), and IT Manager, and will act as a consistent point of contact for all incoming IT service requests. They will have strong customer service skills, be clear and confident communicators, and possess a diverse technical skillset to be able to assist users in troubleshooting and resolving issues where possible.
While we do not currently operate rigidly within ITIL, experience of it may be an advantage.

The IT Service Desk Engineer may be someone who has come from a Senior Technician or Assistant Network Manager background, or potentially even a Network Manager who is looking for a slight change in direction. In all cases, the person will be someone who is enthused to join a thriving Trust, responsible for supporting the largest amount of students in a MAT across the South West, across our 12 schools (with an additional Free School also approved!)
