INCREASING productivity, ROI, and customer service. MAXIMISING your efforts so you can RELAX, knowing your business is running smoothly. Hi, My name is Estelle, the Founder of MyBiz Solution. I am extremely lucky to have a business that literally changes other people's lives. Using all my skills and experience I get to work alongside fabulous, intelligent, driven business owners every day - remind

ing me daily of my own journey as well as the possibilities that lie ahead. It wasn’t that long ago however, I was working in an inner city mainstream secondary school; feeling unsettled, unfulfilled and frustrated. I’d bought up my 2 lovely boys, always worked and had several side hustles but never really fulfilled my own dreams. With skills and qualifications in Leadership and Management, teaching and learning, along with the strong desire to help others achieve, I made the decision to finally make the leap. I invested tens of thousands in people who let me down, and didn't deliver on promises. Although devastating financially and emotionally, this was not a complete waste of money. I learnt A LOT, and am now in a much stronger and better position to help others through the inevitable ups and downs of starting and running their business. I am now extremely careful where I invest my money and with who; but I hold firm my values of honesty and integrity. It is with these values I want to change the state of play; in a world full of wild and often false claims I want to give business owners a safe and dependable place to reach out and achieve their goals without fear or worry. I've worked with people who have started a business at 17 and at 70, and those who have come to me after years in business because they need to change and keep up with competitors and technology. I know that we all have the ability to adapt, learn new things and leverage our skills in order to realise our dreams; I am proof of that and who knows where my journey will take me, but it is my mission and duty to share my expertise, systems and processes to help everyone else achieve their business goals too.

I'm looking for my next case study project, something challenging.

Is it you?

I've got some case studies on my website, some straighforward, some more complex, to give people a better idea of what I do. HOWEVER......
I want to develop this and build a few case studies which document the process not just the outcomes.

I'm not concerened about the size of the project but am looking for something where the potential for real change is there (to put it bluntly, it makes a really impressive case study and helps promote my services and yours).

The best scenarios would be where people have already tried the obvious solutions, bought the software, watched the YouTube videos, downloaded the templates, subscribed to the new tools, watched the webinars and training..... basically tried things already but are still stuck.
Maybe you've got a process that's driving everyone mad.
Maybe information lives in ten different places.
Maybe you're losing time, opportunities or customers and can't quite put your finger on why.
Or maybe (hopefully) you've got a genuinely unusual problem that off-the-shelf tools don't seem to solve.

Over the summer, I'll be selecting up to three businesses to work with as case study projects. In return for allowing me to document the journey and potentially trial new and exciting developments, successful applicants will receive significantly reduced consultancy and implementation rates.

So if you think your business might be a good fit, drop me a message and I'll send the application details.

What a way to start a day. 8am with these lovely people. Not a networking meeting but a power hour.

Have you consciously chosen how you're fulfilling your needs, or are you like me, simply following where life is pulling you?

We discussed the six human needs (according to Tony Robbins back in the 90's):

• Certainty
• Variety
• Significance
• Connection
• Growth
• Contribution

At first, they sound like the sort of thing you'd expect to hear in a personal development seminar but for once, I was lost for words. As I sat contemplating my whole life's choices, I realised they're not buckets we need to look to fill but underlying things influencing every decision we make, both in business and in life.

We all have the same six needs but what differs is how we define them and to what level we feel they have been met.

Take significance. For some people, significance might look like building a billion-pound company, having millions of followers, being recognised everywhere they go, or leaving a legacy that changes the world.

For others, significance might be being respected by their peers, being a great parent or helping a handful of people.

Neither is better than the other, they're just different.

And yet we're living in a world where significance, connection and even contribution are increasingly measured in likes, views, shares and followers.

The challenge is that someone else's version of fulfilment can become so visible that we start chasing it without ever asking ourselves whether it's what we actually want.

Most of us (me included) never consciously think about these needs at all. Instead, we feel the pull of an unmet need and instinctively start chasing something that might satisfy it.

e.g., hunger. You don't analyse it, you just go looking for food.

But unlike hunger, the thing we're reaching for isn't always the thing we truly need and maybe that's why so many successful people still feel unfulfilled.

So, do you consciously chose how you're fulfilling your needs, or are you like me, simply following where life is pulling you? Do you even care or think you should be giving thought to it?

After yesterdays post a few of you asked what Claude actually costs in practice.

Anthropic don't publish exact token limits, so nobody can give you a precise answer, but here's a rough guide based on real usage data.

Have a look at the breakdown below and see where you'd sit.

How many of you reach your data limits within hours? or are you still using free tools?

The days of free use tools (at least for anything decent) are over and subscriptions and usage costs are starting to rack up. An Nvidia exec said recently that for his team, the cost of running AI is already higher than the cost of the employees it was supposed to replace. One tech investor worked out it could cost him $1,200 a day to run eight AI agents doing what a single employee does. Another said he's having to set a budget on how much AI his business is actually allowed to use. https://fortune.com/2026/04/28/nvidia-executive-cost-of-ai-is-greater-than-cost-of-employees/

So when AI becomes more expensive than people, why replace the people?

AI is powerful and freaking awesome when it's used 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗕𝗟𝗬, but it is not free and it is not magic and if you just let it run without any thought or strategy behind it, you'll soon start questioning it's worth.

For the types of business I work with this really matters and the reason I do comprehensive assessments first. The right AI implementation, focused on the right problems, will save you time and money. but buying tools for the sake of it, AI-ifying things that just need automating, or aimlessly leaving things running could have the opposite result.

Obviously I'm not saying avoid AI, I'm just repeating a message I've been harking on about for years - do it right and do it responsibly.

Start small, with a purpose and a goal and know what you're trying to fix and know the choices you ar making are the right ones.

Thoughts? Has anyone had a nasty surprise with AI costs?

There is genuinely no excuse for this 🤬.

You interview someone; they've researched your company, gone through the lengthy application process, prepared answers, taken time off work, travelled to get there, and you send them nothing. Not even a "thanks but no thanks." Just silence, to me, is worse than a rejection.

I'm seeing a lot of posts talking about it, and it pains me to see people uneccesarily upset or angry.

The impact on someone who is applying for job after job and hearing nothing back goes way beyond disappointment. We are in a mental health crisis in this country and job searching, the rejection, the silence, the difficulty and the uncertainty, is a documented part of that. For some people it is genuinely serious. I'm not overstating this and I don't think businesses realise the role they play in it simply by going quiet.

This speaks volumes about you and who you are as an employer. Your reputation, your values, your basic empathy for another human being going through a hard time.

The candidate who doesn't get the job today might be your customer tomorrow, or know someone who is. How you treat people when there is nothing in it for you says everything about your company standards.

Why does it infuriate me so much? Because it's completely solvable, quickly and easily. The excuse of "we just don't have time" is quite frankly rude and completely unacceptable these days.

Here's what takes less than a minute.
- The candidate leaves the room/building.
- You pull out your phone, open a dictation app, and record a thirty second voice note about how the interview went with a feedback comment.
- That note gets transcribed,
- Get's dropped into your CRM or recruitment tool,
- Triggers a personalised feedback email to the candidate automatically.

Done.

That is not a complicated AI implementation. It's a simple, humane workflow that takes less time than making a coffee and makes your business look considerably better than the majority of your competitors.

AI isn't just about growth strategy and revenue. Sometimes it's just about doing the basic things properly.

If you're hiring and you're not doing this, I'd love to know what's stopping you?

Those of you that know me know I HATE sales, I hate being sold to, I hate the 'one quick question' dm's... all of it... and you can spot it a mile off; which is why I try to avoid it.
But what makes me laugh when AI comes up is the person who immediately says "oh we don't need that, we're absolutely fine as we are" with the kind of confidence and 'I'm going to shut you straight down' attitude that suggests they've given it a great deal of thought; when actually, what they usually mean is they know nothing about it, know they are way behind their competitors, usually clueless just how much it's already used in the tools they already have, and are slightly terrified I'm about to corner them with a cheesy sales pitch or publically embarrass them or something!!!!

I never argue with or challenge it because it's not my job to convince anyone of anything they're not ready to hear.

But remember this when you are thinking you 'don't need' or are 'too small' to embed AI into your company; Canva has AI built in. Xero has AI built in. Microsoft 365, Mailchimp, even your CRM, whatever it is, almost certainly has AI woven through it now whether you've noticed or not, and this is only going to increase.

So the "we don't use AI" crowd are often already using it for a number of things which means the conversation was never really about AI at all. It was about the word, or the worry about how people are perceiving them?

I honestly don't know, what is it? What is it you think you're saying no to?

Apologies if this upset any hardcore Anti AI business owners but I say this with the best of intentions and all my support - You need to get on board with it. The actual value is not in the glamourous and exciting content creation, it's in the boring, unsexy parts of the business.

The amount of free AI webinars, talks, cheat sheets and so on is astounding and utterly useless.

Please stop wasting your time on click bait crap that leaves you with more questions than answers and isn't written for your business.

Attending an AI webinar is not an AI strategy.

Neither is the course you bought in January, or the ChatGPT account you use to rewrite emails occasionally or ask it questions.

All fine if you are not ready to explore AI in your business yet and just want to have a little play, but completely useless if you are actually looking to make a difference in your day to day or revenue.

I've often referred to the busy badge, the kind of busy that feels like progress but isn't and now AI has created a whole new version of it. Preparing, researching, experimenting with the odd shiny new tool with no purpose, meaning to get round to it, waiting until you understand it better.
According to reports, 85 to 91% of organisations are increasing AI investment, yet only 31% report a positive return https://helium42.com/blog/ai-adoption-uk-benchmark-2026

Understanding it better is not coming.... It's developing faster than we can fathom. You need to START. Because doing nothing means you're falling behind. Start with something small (but purposeful), see what happens, and go from there.

What steps are you taking to 'understand it better' or embed it your business?

If you're ready to take an objective look at your business and actually make a positive start I have a free Smart Systems Diagnotic tool to get you started, your business your persoanlised report.

What's the one thing in your business that you keep thinking AI should be able to fix, but hasn't yet?

AI advice is everywhere but it's not written FOR YOU.
Every article, webinar, every "top ten AI tools for your business" post assumes you've already got clean processes, consistent handovers, a CRM that people actually use, and a team that isn't held together by two people's memory and a WhatsApp group.

Most small businesses don't have that, not because they're badly run but because they're real. Developed and hashed together as and when the necessity arose, thinking on your feet, taking action, striving to meet your goals and dreams.

Then you want to drop a cool, shiny new tool into an unclear process and wonder why you don't get efficiency.

I've been writing about this in this week's edition of my newsletter, but I'm curious before you go and read it:

SORT YOUR CRM THIS WEEK!
(sadly one of my projects has been pushed back so I have some free time over the next few weeks which I'm offering especially to you 😜)

Seriously, I've been on a CRM rant this week because your set-up is probably costing you more than you realise.

Missed follow-up.
Disconnected systems.
Duplicated admin.
Leads sitting untouched.
No visibility.

A CRM should make the business easier to run, and maximise opportunities.

Consolidate operational mess, centralise everything properly and future-proof the way you run. Most people are shocked how much simpler business becomes once everything is finally connected properly.

If you know your setup needs attention, do yourself a favour, book a call or drop me a message and lets get it sorted.

Bank holiday coming up… but be honest, are you actually taking the time off, or just changing locations while still wearing every bloody hat in the business? 😅

I get it, I'm also a small business based in Newport but I specialise in business sytems to escape operational survival mode.

One of the biggest things I see is that the work is good, demand is there, but behind the scenes everything has become disconnected, reactive and unnecessarily hard work.

This leads to missed opportunities, poor customer experience, money left on the table and quite frankly a world of s**t which is not why you started the business.
You shouldn’t need to spend a bank holiday catching up on your own business, you started this for a better work life balance!

Sadly one of my projects has been pushed back, which means I’ve unexpectedly got some availability over the next couple of weeks and I’m opening up some spaces for businesses that know things need to change.

This is for you if:
👀 You are paying for multiple tools that still don’t actually solve the problem.
👀 You know your setup is messy, your CRM is underused (if you even have one), or your systems have been patched together over time.
👀 You're checking five different systems to work out what’s going on.
👀 You're relying on memory, WhatsApp messages and “I’ll sort that later”.
👀 You want running your business to be easy.

Honestly, sorting this stuff out is one of those things people wish they’d done earlier and is usually relatively easy to do.

You can take the Smart Systems Diagnostic for free, takes around 10 minutes and see where the leaks actually are before they cost you even more time, money and sanity.

The link is in the comments.

Or drop me a message and we can have a chat.
