When buying second hand iphones, there's a few things to look out for.

Check the general condition. Make sure everything works, especially the fingerprint sensor or face scanner on newer models, cameras, switches etc.

Take a working sim card to make sure it is not network blocked and works with the network you are using.

Make sure that the icloud account is signed out and the phone is not locked with a pin. You Nedd to access the phone. If the icloud is not signed out, the phone is useless.

Beware buying from places like marketplace and gumtree where a seller says "unwanted upgrade" or the phone is a model that's recently been released. If the phone is under contract and they default on their payments, the phone will get blocked by the network and make it unusable.

Buy off someone you trust. Buy a friends old phone off them when they get a new one.

Morning folks,
I haven't posted anything for a while.
Just a little tip, if you are having problems with your iPhone losing battery power quickly, have a quick look at the battery health in your settings.
Open the settings app, then click on battery, you should be able to see battery health.
It will show as a percentage.
Below 80% Apple recommend that the battery needs replacing.
The percentage is the maximum amount of charge that your battery will charge to compared to when it's new.
Stay safe and stay at home.
