This iPad Air 2 was needing to be charged multiple times a day, it would also switch off at roughly 25% and crash leading up to this point that involved intensive processing.

The only option here is to replace the battery with a new one.

This repair involves opening the iPad, blocking off the battery connector to safely remove the screen. Once the screen is removed the battery removal process can begin.

This laptop appeared to be dead with the symptoms of screen flickering.

After doing an extensive diagnostic of the board It was determined the bios chip was corrupted.

This repair involves removal of the chip, wiping it clean and loading on a clean copy of the bios.

Once soldered back on the laptop was functional again.

Learning new skills.

Part of micro soldering is being able to replace the Ball Grind Array solder joints on a chip when you don't have access to a stencil to use paste. This method is extremely time consuming.

Which failed first, the charger or the capacitor?

This HP all in one wouldn't turn on even after the client tried it with a new power supply.

When opened I found this completely melted capacitor which was shorting to ground (thankfully through nothing vital )
Under the microscope, you can see the extent of the damage and MOLTEN metal. After removing, replacing and repairing the damage the computer now turns on.

The client also mentioned the computer fan was always going fast and loud. This was down to the exhausted been blocked solid with dust.

A screen replacement for a Huawei P20.

Due to the nature of the phone design stripping the whole phone down to attach the new screen was needed. Corrosion is also present on the broken screen where water leaked through the broken glass.

I was asked to investigate why an iMac wouldn’t turn on.

After investigation, it was determined to be a fault with the internal power supply. Replacing this restored the iMac to turning on every time.
