Few things this week.

Dahua CCTV system and Ajax wireless alarm installed at a factory in Gateshead.

Alarm call out to that well known trainer brand that Jamie Redknapp sponsored in Eldon Square.

Fire Alarm commissioning at a B&M rival down in Spennymoor.

Access control keypad replacement at a care home in Hexham.

Install done at a school this week.

13 x Hikvision IP cameras installed on the first floor to complement the previously installed ground floor setup (not installed by us).

1 x Hikvision 24 port PoE switch to link the cameras to the previously installed Hikvision 64 channel NVR.

Linked back to the reception office PC using iVMS-4200.

Additionally, a further 8 x IP cameras installed over in the "Pod" consisting of 6 x External, 2 x Internal, 1 x NVR and a monitor.

Pod had to be surface mounted due to the nature of the building and the clientèle.

Then on the way home we popped into Uni Hospital of North Tees for a quick call out on the CCTV there.

Quick job done in Richmond today on a fire alarm. Cabled by another party and system to be commissioned by another. Just needed a call point and smoke/sounder installed.

Couple of jobs today.

1st - Previous customer in Ashington wanted another camera installed and the previous installers bodges fixed as best as possible. Ended up fitting a fake vent as the old camera had been rendered around and the soffit cut around so left a mess when removed. Not ideal but it's tidy and the customer is more than happy.

2nd - Call out to our friends over at Motel Mexicana for a damaged door contact on an Eaton Scantronic alarm system. Replaced and tested before the club opened leaving a happy customer and a secure premises.

Call out day today.

1st - The Alchemist for a manual call point for the fire alarm which had been knocked off.

2nd - The Botanist for a CCTV issue which turned out to be the camera has no cable going to it.

3rd - Byker Wall to put cameras on a customers phone.

4th - Darlington to replace a keypad on a Videx 5 button intercom at an apartment block.

Call out day today.

This one for another new customer. A well known shoe brand that Jamie Redknapp once sponsored.

Simple one of replacing a battery in a door contact. Once there the manager also said one of the motion sensors was showing a low battery as well. So replaced that whilst on site.

We have a service booked in soon for another one of their branches.

As well as this we also carried out a call out at a nursery local to us where a fault had been logged with an emergency exit break glass. Fault diagnosed and replacement organised.

Few pictures of an ongoing project.

So far we've done:

3050m of Cat6 pulled (more realistically after the electricians decided to cut hundreds of meters of it out)

300m of fibre

2 x mini data cabinets inc power supplies

35 x Hikvision turrets

Still got a few more to install. Some screens, network switches, more external cameras and a tidy of the main comms cab.

All linked back to an alarm receiving centre to protect the site 24/7.

Few things on last week, which I've only managed to grab a few photos of.

First, 3 x Hikvision camera install in Killingworth. 24/7 Smart Hybrid cameras with a 1TB recorder. All cables hidden. App on customer phone. Intrusion Detection configured and a 3 year warranty for piece of mind.

Second. Pyronix alarm take over and service in Prudhoe. No photos of this one but all wireless devices had batteries renewed, full walk test of the premises done and sensors wiped down to ensure reliability.

Third. Site survey for a customer in Leeds. Pictures of this one to follow once the works are carried out.

Fourth. Removal of a 2 x Hikvision system for a previous customer of ours who is moving house. Booked us in to do the installation at the new house in a few weeks.

Fifth. Call out in West Allotment. No response from the original installer. Camera not working. Inspected the cable and found a break and water ingress. Repaired and left customer happy.

Sixth. Call out on the Byker Wall. Camera intermittently goes off but takes a day or 2 to do so. Tried a couple of simple fixes to keep costs down for the customer but in the end it needed a replacement camera. Advised replacing the cable too as the original installer had used internal cable outside which will eventually lead to problems. So ran a fresh cable in external Cat6. Tided the existing cable and brushed down the wall of cobwebs etc.

We don't just carry out fresh installs or service our own equipment. We are always happy to take on existing installs for CCTV, Fire and Intruder. Even if it's a system we haven't worked with before we will take the time and make sure the job is done right.

Another fire alarm job done for an existing customer.

Extension built on a truck showroom and garage which needed detectors, sounders and call points.

Another contractor was going to simply "Spur off the existing Zone" to make life easier...for themselves.

Instead we chose the option that made life easier for the customer. There was a spare Zone on the panel so why not have that Zone as the extension, keeping it totally separate and making it easier to identify the location of a fire.

6 detectors. 2 call points. 2 sounders and 150m of FP200 cable installed, tested and commissioned. During the testing phase it was noted that an existing sounder had failed in another area of the building. So we replaced that as well to ensure total coverage.

Zone charts provided and a chart with all devices on as well.
