As an SMT operator, you'll play a critical role in

- Setting up and running SMT pick‑and‑place lines
- Solder paste printing, reflow profiling and X‑ray inspection

Due to continued success we are looking to recruit a Surface Mount Pick & Place Operator to join our busy and fast-paced team at Garner Osborne Circuits.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

Setup and operation of surface mount pick and place machines.
Setup and operation of automatic and semi-automatic stencil printers.
Setup and operation of reflow oven.
Perform manual component placement and inspection.
Perform routine machine maintenance.
Perform detailed quality inspection of populated circuit boards.
Preferred Job Requirements:

Minimum of two years’ experience operating SMT Equipment in fast paced environment. Juki and Yamaha machine experience is a plus.
Good working knowledge of ISO 9001, ESD, SPC, IPC-A-610
Expected to read and comprehend process documentation including Bills of Materials and Assembly drawings.
Expected to communicate well in English both verbally and in written format.
Component identification ability required.
Candidates should be very organized with the ability to keep count of parts.
Candidates should have the ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
High concentration levels and attention to detail are essential, along with an excellent level of dexterity.

You must be punctual and be prepared for the responsibility of producing high-quality products.

Experience is preferred but not essential as full training can be provided.

Based in Newbury, RG14 5TU

20 days holiday (plus paid Bank Holiday’s)

We are a well-established electronic contract manufacturer, supplying complex assembled PCB’s and box builds to many different market sectors. We are currently seeking an Assembly Sales Assistant to help us in our fast-paced Assembly department.

Key accountabilities for this role will include:

Generate customer invoices/credit notes
Handle invoice/credit note queries
Receive customer quote requests, analyse data, enter onto internal database and send relevant data to appropriate departments for quoting
Collate all costs and produce customer quotation
Receive and acknowledge customer orders
Process orders onto internal database in accordance with customer instructions
Arrange internal contract reviews
Provide first point of contact for customer queries
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong discipline of work
Well organised.
A good eye for detail is essential, a pleasant telephone manner and a general knowledge of Word and Excel is required, we use a bespoke system which you will receive full training on.

Monday to Friday
8:00 to 17:00 - working hours are flexible and school hours will be considered for the right candidate.

Due to continued success we are looking to recruit an Electronic Component Buyer to join our Purchasing team.

You will be responsible for the procurement of electronic components, to include semi conductors, distributors, metalwork etc. You will report to the Procurement Manager and CEM Operations Director.

Your role will pick up from the MRP order stage, production planners will advise quantity needed via the MRP. The supply base is well established and you will be placing orders with suppliers, ensuring the correct parts, at the right quantity and the right time to meet the inhouse manufacturing plan.

We are ideally looking for candidates with electronics purchasing experience who are happy to commit to the full duration.

Requirements for this role include:

Technical background in either IT, electronics, or a similar discipline
Procurement experience or a desire to move into this area
An inquiring mind able to seek out new supplies in the far-east and elsewhere
Determined nature and excellent attention to detail
Ability to work to deadlines. Flexible, able to multitask and work as part of a team
Good IT skills
Good written skills
Willing to learn about our products and develop your knowledge
Numerically proficient and able to think on their feet

Experience is preferred.
