Andy Kershaw RIP

A sad loss of a great friend and admirer of our wee shop.
He made a number of recordings here for his series of world travels on Radio 3. He championed the use of cassette tapes... recording all his early material on his trusty Sony WM-D6 walkman pro in all manner of locations around the world. We once had to empty the Sahara's sand from in it's gears to get it running again.

Whoopee the holidays are finally here. It's been a long run for us since last September, so we are all having a few days off.
Closed Good Friday through to Tuesday 22nd.

Announcing that we have now disabled Messaging on Facebook.
In addition to numerous fake bots wanting us to 'recommend them something' at 11.30pm on a Sunday evening..... Facebook messages don't easily work for us to pass your questions around the company to find the most suitable person to answer what are often very specific and complex requests.... mostly outside shop hours.
Unlike so many companies, here a human is easily reachable by phone... or alternatively by text or Email or WhatsApp during shop hours and we are happy to give answers by these means.. when we are all here as a hive mind.
