SCAMS:

There are a few scams going around at the moment, and while it would be a mammoth task detailing them all, we thought it would be good to remind our customers of a few precautions:

MICROSOFT will NEVER call you to say you have a virus and offer to repair it. This is a well known scam and could result in your PC and bank accounts being compromised.

Your ISP will never call you to say your PC is infected. You can treat them the same as the Microsoft Scammers

If you use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browsers, do NOT allow sites to send you notifications. These can often appear to be genuine system messages reporting that your PC is infected with a virus. You can prevent sites from sending you notifications in the browser settings.

Sometimes a PC comes into us that has not had the best care in the world. As part of our routine service we clean the PC out and re-apply thermal paste. Is it time we had yours in the shop?
