💡 EGR – Quick Technical Note

We advised the customer against EGR removal on this vehicle.

Fun fact:
EGR removal is not automatically a performance “upgrade”.

On modern diesel strategies:
• EGR can actually assist turbo spool at lower load
• It helps control combustion temperature
• It reduces NOx formation under part load

An EGR delete is typically:
• A preventative measure
• A solution to a fault
• Or required for specific off-road builds

If the system is functioning correctly, removing it purely “because it’s common” isn’t always the best approach.

We only remove systems when there is a justified mechanical or reliability reason.

2015 BMW S1000R – Stage 1 Bench Remap (Bosch ME17.2 ECU) 🏍️💻

This S1000R came in for a bench remap on its Bosch ME17.2 ECU — unlocking more performance and improving the riding experience:

📈 Power Gains: 160 hp → 168 hp (+8 hp)

🔩 Torque Gains: 112 Nm → 120 Nm (+8 Nm)
