We advised the customer against EGR removal on this vehicle.
Fun fact:
EGR removal is not automatically a performance โupgradeโ.
On modern diesel strategies:
โข EGR can actually assist turbo spool at lower load
โข It helps control combustion temperature
โข It reduces NOx formation under part load
An EGR delete is typically:
โข A preventative measure
โข A solution to a fault
โข Or required for specific off-road builds
If the system is functioning correctly, removing it purely โbecause itโs commonโ isnโt always the best approach.
We only remove systems when there is a justified mechanical or reliability reason.
