Before EC Pro, Croft ran on paper.

Riding school clients booking in at times that suited them, but not the instructors who were mid-lesson. A busy livery yard where staff had to remember, or write down, every service request, and some got missed.

Moving online took away that stress completely. It all happens in the background now, so the team can concentrate on looking after horses and clients.

We’re kicking things off with a topic that’s particularly relevant to riding school horses: habituation.

Riding school horses are expected to cope with a lot – different riders, busy yards, equipment, noises, vehicles and plenty of unexpected moments.

Over time, many learn that these everyday experiences are nothing to worry about. But when a horse stops reacting, how do we know they genuinely feel safe and comfortable?

Our latest blog looks at habituation, why a quiet horse isn’t necessarily a relaxed horse, and why continuing to notice what our horses are communicating matters for both welfare and safety.

Someone called us "big corporate" 🙃

There are 14 of us. FOURTEEN. Your local coffee shop probably has more staff on the rota than we have in the whole company.

Faceless we are not. We're a family business with some employee ownership on top, so the people building this actually care. We use tech to help, not to hide behind. About half of us are horse obsessed, the other half aren't, turns out that mix is exactly why we build good software.
