πͺ In a campaign initiated by the National Governance Association: 'Educators on Board' https://eu1.hubs.ly/H054C2S0, Emma Knights, their CEO, emphasises the significance of having educational experts at the table.
She states "Boards create a culture that empowers school staff to govern. They bring fresh perspectives and understand the essence of governing. This is an incredible opportunity for educationalists seeking professional growth and leadership succession."
β¦ and we completely agree! π₯
The campaign encourages teachers, middle leaders, and senior leaders (like you?) to join the governing boards of other schools or trusts. Since its inception in 2019, countless educators have stepped up, sharing their expertise and endorsing the power of governing.
π₯π As more people volunteer to join the ranks of Governing boards, so does the need for training arise. The Governing board and it's members should thrive on a diverse blend of knowledge, skills, and experiences, including those of education professionals.
This is where we step in. Our app, aptly named 'Governance', when placed in the hands of MATs, Trusts and wider schools, empowers school staff to monitor, analyse and improve their knowledge, skills and competencies in every relevant area.
As a multi-platform solution which aims to improve the effectiveness of your Governing Board or Trust, it provides the benefits of undertaking regular competency evaluations of your Board/Trust Members and of the whole/Board itself. It contains up-to-date competency frameworks either mandated or suggested by the Department for Education, National Governance Association, The Key and others.
