Prices are, we're led to believe, skyrocketing due to supply and demand issues. Companies are increasingly reliant on AI, and AI is dependent on RAM.

If this really is the case, it would be reasonable to expect prices to lower as demand dwindled or production increases. However, it is now a tough market to predict and, if you want things ready for a deadline, options are going to be limited.

Good news...
For some time, Microsoft has suggested that users can stay on Windows 10 for an additional 12 months following the official end of Life in October this year. However, in a recent blog, the company revealed that users can also stay with 10 by submitting 1,000 points from Microsoft’s Rewards program. Alternatively, users can utilise Windows Backup on Microsoft OneDrive and continue on Windows 10.

The Extended Security Updates program was supposed to cost $30 for consumers who want to remain on Windows 10 beyond Oct. 14. But Microsoft is offering two cheaper ways to access it.
