You know TSL for audio monitoring, control, and power. But did you know TSL also provides MOS integration (including ENPS and Avid iNEWS) and Newsroom automation for a wide variety of third party systems and servers?

In this demo, Randy Rodriguez shows how TSL connects ENPS with a Grass Valley playout server using TSL Hummingbird.

That gives newsroom and production teams the ability to:
> Drag and drop clips into the rundown
> Create placeholders
> See MOS feedback from the server
> Check whether a clip is available
> Flag issues before playout
> View the rundown in an operator interface
> Trigger secondary actions from the story

Those secondary actions can drive connected devices such as graphics systems, switchers, routers, multiviewers and other equipment integrated by Hummingbird.

For clip playout automation, Hummingbird can also be used to build and run playout rundowns automatically.

Watch Randy walk through the demo.

AV and broadcast are converging fast, and the real challenge is keeping control consistent as workflows stretch across SDI and IP (ST 2110, NDI etc), hybrid and cloud environments.

From control rooms and galleries to corporate AV spaces, digital signage networks, stadiums and live music events, teams are being asked to operate across systems that were never designed to work as one.

In converged AV and broadcast environments, the real risk is losing control when a connected system changes at the wrong moment, like an IT update just before a live session. TSL Hummingbird can both bring unified control across AV, broadcast and IT workflows, giving operators a single, consistent interface across your choice of technologies and environments, or provide ringfenced solutions for specific tasks protected from IT interference.

Ahead of new announcements for NAB, we’re setting the scene for TSL Hummingbird’s NAB debut, In this demo, Maurice Snell shows how TSL Hummingbird provides a unified interface and workflow across diverse systems to simplify operations for a major US broadcaster.

The goal was simple: train operators once, on a single replay control panel, without locking them to a specific server, vendor or infrastructure.

Behind the scenes, the reality was anything but simple. Legacy SDI servers, ST 2110 systems and cloud replay all in operation across multiple control rooms.

TSL Hummingbird removed that complexity.

Operators walk into any control room and use the same familiar interface and workflow. They don’t need to know where the server is, what vendor it is, or how it’s connected.

Hummingbird handles the rest - routing any control panel to any server across the system and delivering interoperable control at scale: one experience for operators, full flexibility for engineering.

See it live at NAB 2026. Find us at:

In this demo, Maurice Snell shows how TSL Hummingbird solves a real multi-vendor control and metadata challenge for Sony Pictures Networks India.

With Imagine playout, BroadStream subtitling, Grass Valley routing and Dataminer monitoring all in the mix, the challenge was automating a manual process while making differing redundancy models work together in a way that kept operations simple and the system on air.

TSL Hummingbird delivered a fully automated workflow, listening to the routing layer and automatically directing the correct metadata flows through the IP system, with no operator intervention required.

At its core, TSL Hummingbird prioritises interoperability, delivering intuitive control, monitoring, and IP routing orchestration across multi-vendor environments. It supports bridging of SDI, ST 2110 or NDI workflows, giving facilities the freedom to integrate diverse technologies without being tied to a single vendor. This ensures operators can work efficiently across increasingly converged AV and broadcast environments: less manual effort, less complexity, more confidence.

Ahead of new announcements for NAB, here’s a reminder of the launch of ST 2022-7 redundancy into TSL’s PAM range of audio monitoring units, bringing resilient IP monitoring to environments where audio confidence matters most.

PAM-IP-NET supports multiple standards in a single unit, including ST 2110 IP, ST 2022-7 redundancy, 3G-SDI and 12G-SDI, with optional support for Dante/AES67 and Dolby monitoring.

In the demo, we also show how our MPA1 Audio Monitoring Unit integrates with a TSL Hummingbird panel, enabling simple control directly from the interface.

The result is flexible, interoperable monitoring designed for modern broadcast and hybrid production workflows.

Modern production and AV environments benefit from power infrastructure that can integrate cleanly with the wider control ecosystem.

In this short demo, we show the latest generation of TSL intelligent managed PDUs and how they extend the same interoperability principles seen across broadcast control workflows.
Key capabilities demonstrated in the video include:

* Remote monitoring and control of PDU outlets from a variety of interface options

* Integration with third-party monitoring and management tools

* Control via TSL Hummingbird panels

* Automatic changeover dual inlet options for rack-level redundancy

* Vendor-agnostic interoperability across mixed environments

The result is a power layer that can be monitored and managed alongside the rest of your infrastructure, giving engineering teams greater operational visibility and control across their racks.

TSL has spent decades building interoperable solutions across control, audio monitoring and power management for demanding broadcast, live production/event environments and AV.
