Email Hacking is becoming more common.

Steps to take if you have been hacked

- Reset Email Password
- Sign out of any active sessions
- If 2FA is setup look for unknown devices & remove those.
- Check if any Rules have been setup

Steps to take to help prevent being hacked

- Your email password should be different to your other passwords
- Reset password often
- Setup 2FA if your account has this feature
- Don’t go on any links sent via email that are not from someone you trust.

We are experiencing a number of customers being contacted by calls from supposably BT, Virgin Media, Microsoft, theses companies never contact you, you always have to phone them so if you receive a call it’s almost certain it’s from a scammer praying on the vulnerable.

Never let anyone access your computer remotely unless you have phoned the correct company numbers for help.
