I tend use just four colours in my work 👩🏻‍🎨

Plus a specific black and an off white.

Using the same few colours helps my work stand out and fit together nicely on your walls.

But I do go off slightly with some collections but the base tends to stay the same.

I use the same concept for my greeting cards but I use a different set of colours. It means they display nicely in shops and hopefully instantly recognisable as my designs.

Just a little insight into my design process.

This guy has been popular on the caps so I tweaked him slightly and featured him on a print ☕️

Not a massive coffee drinker but I do dabble. Had a few good tonic espressos over the summer.

This print is available in A5-A0 if you’re interested in owning one. Cap to match if so inclined.

Corporate life was never for me long term but strangely I do miss some things from my office job.

Actually working in local government sometimes was like living in a sit com. I’ve got some good tales to tell.

I may be less well off but I get so much joy from running a creative business and that’s more than enough for me.

But going self employed can be a bit lonely, which is why I love running Nook Nottingham, going to markets and exhibiting at trade shows.

Bit soppy, but thank you to everyone who interacts with my business, you make it all worthwhile 🥹

Spoiler, I like to listening to true crime podcasts/documentaries

I probably listen to podcasts more than I do music when I’m designing and drawing.

Some of my best work is produced listening to a good Radio 4 documentary or keeping up with the latest in politics.

I’ll do a music edition which will give you an insight into how wild my music taste is.

And please give me your podcast recommendations! What should I listen to next?

I’m too hot and I just want an ice cream.

The studio gets way too warm to work in once the sun hits but the light is perfect for pictures.

I keep looking at buying mockups for my catalogue but everything is made with bastard AI so I’m going to invest some time with my camera and do it all myself.

I’m not buying your AI mockups because I enjoy gardening and the outdoors and I hate everything being crispy, dehydrated and dead. Climate change is very real and AI is contributing big time.

Any way, that escalated. Please enjoy my artwork ✨

Fellow illustrators and graphic designers, here’s two must see exhibitions at

First up go and soak up some of the World’s Worst Record Sleeves. There was bloke proper laughing out loud at some of them. It was weird, hilarious and good fun. Took lots of pictures of some lovely fonts.

Then head over to the ‘Wonderful world of Ladybird Book Artists’ exhibition. I grew up with all my granny’s ladybird books so this was so nostalgic and pure joy.

Always support your local cultural institutions! These were free to look round and such great quality. Feeling inspired!
